We used to live in New Orleans, in the downtown area, so we frequently walked to any one of the many restaurant offerings. A couple of times we tried this place, twice because the first experience was such a disaster. The second time was no better. My wife & I would rate this place as a classic tourist trap where the pretensions of New Orleans cuisine is offered, but not "the real stuff". Upon asking for warm bread to replace cold French bread, the waiter was surly at first, and then downright insulting. The maitre 'd replaced the flustered waiter only to also fail to produce truly warm New Orleans style bread. Short form of a longer story = the remainder of the meal was equally disappointing. To validate this offering, it might be fairly said that we frequented many of the great New Orleans establishments such as Arnaud's, Commander's, Antoine's, etc., but would not return to this spot, nor recommend it. less
