Other locations in the chain may not be that way as each franchise has a leeway to run their shop as they see fit. The do have a sit down area if you do not want to take out. less

It was on special that night. It usually is $14.99. They had another special that night of a 40oz T-bone for $19.99. This restaurant has been around since 1957. The last time I ate there was in the middle sixties. It has not changed much except got bigger. It is a steak house and only a steak house. The menu does not vary much from that but the steaks are good. The atmosphere is unusual. As it is called "patio", that is how the setting is, like a patio. Tables are picnic tables. Along the rafters you will see many many ties. They claim 1 million. That got started when they opened. The place was a eatery on the way to the lake and very casual. One time a business man came in adorned in a suit and tie. Refusing to take off the tie, the owner cut it off. The businessman took it in stride but wanted the tie and his business card where everyone could see it. That started the tradition. Word of caution, they still cut off ties if you enter with one on. You could classify this as a tourist "trap" but it is unusual, has good food and a relaxing atmosphere. While we were their, they had a band. If you want somthing different, this is the place. less

Two of us had the prime rib, the hired hand cut. If you are hungry, this will fill you. It is a 22 oz cut of prime rib that looks like a roast when it comes out. Very tender, filling and good. Along with the meal you get rolls, a vegetable or spaghetti, salad and a choice of potato. The other two in our party had other dishes. One had fish and one had chicken. All of us agreed this is a very good place to go if good food, large portions, friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices are your goals for a night out. It would also be a place to take a family. If you go on the week end, go early as it is a very popular place. less
