It is always packed to the gills so you might have to wait a while, especially on weekends but the well stocked bar more than makes up for it. Service is spotty. One can tell which waitresses have been there for awhile - they're amazingly adept. less

This place is so underappreciated, because it's overshadowed by India House. India Palace is really tasty, reasonably priced and a nice place for a quick lunch.

There is nothing spectacular about this place but there's nothing bad either. Good service, and reasonably priced. They refill your water every 30 seconds though. It gets a bit annoying.

I used to like the Depot, and hadn't been there for a few years. My husband and I went here a few weeks ago and will never go back. The menu is completely unimaginative, it's basically steak and chicken with a couple of seafood dishes. The salad bar is not so bad but how can you complain about a salad bar? We started with the Oysters Gorgonzola. There may have actually been oysters in there but i certainly couldn't taste them under the pound of melted cheese. The bread was obviously kept under a warmer b/c it was so tough it was nearly impossible to chew. I got a grilled tuna that was too dry to eat and not even seasoned. Their "rice pilaf" is orzo with diced carrots and they used canned mushrooms in the vegetable saute. Speaking of, someone should tell the line cooks that sauteed vegetables should still resemble vegetables when done. My husband ordered his steak well done and it was curled up around the edges and dry all the way through. If I wanted food this poorly made I would have gone to the Ponderosa Buffet and paid half the price. less
