| Aqui Cal-Mex Grill | San Jose, CA | |
|
Great healthy Cal-Mex. Menu is constantly changing which keeps it fresh. Very crowded though and sometimes there are no seats. Glad they finally stopped announcing dining numbers over the loud speaker too! That was terribly loud!!

| Seto Japanese Cuisine | Sunnyvale, CA | |
|
Seto has great atmosphere and amazing sushi but the prices are steep. Mellow crowd and upscale. Good, quite restaurant for conversation.

| Wagon Train Coffee Shop | Truckee, CA | |
|
This is a great place to stop for breakfast before or after skiing.
Large portions of "down home cooking" and lots of choices. They
go a little overboard with the 'hello hun' and 'more coffee darlin',
(Truckee's not that rural!) but I guess that's p ...

| Hacienda De La Sierra | Incline Village, NV | |
|
Standard Mex food. (average at best that is) Lots of crazy/lame
tropical paraphanalia on the walls, but it does have a nice bar
area. There are much more exciting places to eat in Incline.

| Barton's Club 93 | Jackpot, NV | |
|
What else can you say - casino food. There is nothing quite like
eating buffet in a smoke filled room. Recomended only for the
drunk and very hungry.

| Nik-N-Willies | Mammoth Lakes, CA | |
|
Nik-n-Willies has the best lunch specials in Mammoth. $5 for
a personal pizza and delicious salad. It takes some time, but
that's because they cook the pizza on the spot. A local favorite
for lunch. I've spend hundreds of dollars there!

Excellent American grill with good prices. The baskets of fries
are huge! Lots of great BBQ sauces and different types of beers
to choose from. One of the few air conditioned restaurants in
town, which is good to know for the 2 weeks out of the year ...

| The Looney Bean | Mammoth Lakes, CA | |
|
Looney Bean has some of the best flavored coffee I have ever had.
(special roasting process) The cakes and desserts are also quite
tasty. A perfect stop to warm up before skiing.

| The Stove | Mammoth Lakes, CA | |
|
I have been to the Stove many times, and the breakfast is typically
delicious, but the last time I went, I got food poisoning. Come
to find out, they had an outbreak of salmonella poisoning from
eggs, which affected a bunch of people. I ended up in ...

| Shogun | Mammoth Lakes, CA | |
|
Best Japaneese food in town. The catterpillar roll is unbeatable!
Usually no wait (lots of seating) and most seats have a good view
of the town.
