The service I received from the host staff was exceptional. They went out of their way to please me. The wait staff is proficient, although the tableside presentaion hinders the service from being timely. The food was fresh, delicious, ample, and satisfying. The recipes are neither creative, nor interesting. Again, the food is very good, but the flavors are nothing exciting. The overall dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. There is a certain intangible missing though. less

Very charming old New Orleans style breakfast place. Breakfast is very good. Some of the waiters have been there 30 yrs. Good omlettes, good coffee. Better than the Royal Cafe.

This place is the ultimate in value. The lemon pepper amberjack, actually everything, is excellent. The prices are unbelieveable. The fish is fresh every day. It is self serve cafeteria style. Kind of run down, but it's great for hungry lunchers.

Poorly done beach atmosphere. Food is mediocre. Service is sketchy. Beer was cold though. For oysters, this is the cheapest place in town. Can be fun on busy nights.

This is the first place to go in Birmingham. It's the heart of the city. From here, you can make all your plans for your visit to Birmingham. Great bar. Great crowd. Nice menu.

Let me tell you that I've eaten at NOLA 3 times and each time was a wonderful experience. Once was a date, once I was alone on a business trip, and the last was a business meeting. Every time the service was excellent and the food was even better. The Crawfish pie is the most interesting thing I have ever tasted. The chef's bar was fun, as the chef's conversed with me about what they were making. Since NOLA is so popular, it is noisy and cramped. This barely takes away from the experience though. I will go back! less
