I had an excellent chile appetizer stuffed with chorizo, potato, avocado, carrot with a cilantro-tomtillo salsa. The rope grown mussle appetizer is enough to make a meal. Good wine list. Went during Olympics. Two people dining can drop $80 without a whole bottle of wine. less

The absence of PoBoys from the menu means the food in not Cajun comfort food. There are two seating areas, one more casual than the other. There was a guy who sounded like Bill Murray pretending to be a NJ Turnpike Ramada Inn lounge singer, so bad it was funny. The food was quite good, 2 oysters buried in spinach and parmesean. A large selection of fish dishes. Decent service. One appetizer, one beer, one glass of wine, two entrees plus tip was about $60, ouch. less

New Southern cooking. New twist on old southern stand bys. In the past I have had trouble recommending a good place for out-of-town friends to sample southern food in an elegant setting, no more. Quality has improved with time.

With all the celebs dining here during the olympics, the attitude easily ignored before may become pervasive. If you can focus on the food and are assigned one of the good waiters, this can be the best Italian experience in town. The gauge I use to judge calamari was recalibrated by VVV's version which melted in my mouth. The pasta dishes I sampled were excellent, each element not smoothered by another. Great bread(from a breadhead). Can be loud. Don't sit anywhere near smoking as the euro crowd smoke in euro proportions. less

Jug of wine on table, pour as much as you like and if you can remember, be sure to write down the number of glasses you had. Don't know how the guy next to my table scored the number of glasses he drank, he refilled his glass after every sip. Food just average. Make the trip intown to Ninos, Camilles, Fratelli, Veni Vedi Vici or Cucina di Fresca Italiano. less

Its specialty is steak, with so many overated steak joints in town, the Palm differentiates itself by its Continental influence. The chef is quite good and I recommend it as an alternative to the prententious 'Dining Room' across the street. less

One unfortunate consequence of its location is who you might be seated next to. (Screaming children- huh, huh, we don't git to the city much-buckhead nasal view crowd). We were most fortunate to be seated in the corner on the lovely patio, disturbed only be the occasional low-rider and his 'thump,thump' car stereo which rattled the wine glasses. Pretending to be in France, I ordered in French only to have the waiter say, 'please, english unless you speak spanish', OK I'm back now. I had a lovely Turbot with steamed vegetables, they brought the wrong fish for my wife, but it was so good it did not matter(halibut). Service was very good, eventhough it was quite a walk for the wait staff. If you're in the mood for formal cuisine francais, then this is it. less

Waiter complained when we wanted to move our table to the window because we would no longer be in his station. Asked for a good dry white wine, he says, Reds are dry, whites are sweet(OK, genius). Entrees were passable, but were served with Veg-All. Chose to eat here on our wedding anniversary because we were married in Switzerland, bad mistake. Next time we'll do fondue on an open fire beside Lake Lucerne in a Stone Mountain Subdivision. less

Very good italian food, casual atmosphere. Service is less affected by the Buckhead 'tude than other area restaurants. Good focacia, Chicken Ravioli is very nice.
