| Hernandez Mexican Foods | Dallas, TX | |
|
Certainly not a restaurant, it is really a grocery store. But you can
take out anything from menudo, cabritto, tamales, and all sorts of
other ethnic culinary works. Great if you want to serve TexMex to a
group but don't want to hassle with the cooking (or don't know how).

| Herrera Mexican Restaurant | Dallas, TX | |
|
Same food as Maple location and the one I frequent most because they
put the most jalepenos on the Pepe's special.
|
||
| Herreras Cafe | Dallas, TX | |
|
Not the charm of the old Herrera's shack across the street, and the
larger size (and another location nearby) means the lines don't strech
around the block like they used to at the shack. But pound for pound,
when I want hard core TexMex, I go to Herrera's. Many would kill for
the recipie for their nuclear salsa. The Pepe's special is my favorite
combination plate in the universe. No glitz, no glamour. An absolute
insult to establishments like Javier's and Via Real, but if Herrera's
moved to Cuba, I'd have to seriously consider becoming a communist!

| Houston's Restaurant | Dallas, TX | |
|
Basically an upscale TGI Fridays/Bennigan's. Same type food, nicer
surroundings and presentation.

| Hunan Restaurant | Dallas, TX | |
|
Not bad Chinese food, it's just that there are so many others that are
much better.
|
||
| Hungry Jockey Restaurant | Dallas, TX | |
|
One of the best reasons NOT to eat at Denny's if you are in North
Dallas. Expect a wait. Open only for breakfast & lunch. Stay away you
dieters, hearty breakfasts, chicken fried you name it, and delicious
vegetables & deserts.
|
||
| Humperdink's Bar & Grill | Dallas, TX | |
|
Very similar a TGI Friday's or Bennigan's but more of a sports
bar. You could probably get your mother fried here.

| Enclave Restaurant And Bar | Dallas, TX | |
|
Long time Dallas continental favorite. Dark atmosphere. Standard
continental fare with live entertainment. Food fine. Chateaubriand,
Caesar salad, all you would expect of a fine continental
establishment, just a little long in the tooth now due to age. Loyal
following but new customers seeking flashier digs.

| Escondido Restaurant | Dallas, TX | |
|
"Dive" in for some good TexMex. This place has the appearance of
having withstood several strong earthquakes! But the food is good and
the red & green salsas served at you table is a nice touch. Long time
establishment, crowded at lunch.

| Ewaldes At The Stoneleigh | Dallas, TX | |
|
Ewald's is a mainstay of Dallas continental restaurants. Since they
opened year's ago on Lover's Lane, they have continuously maintained
the highest level of service, and continental food at its best. New
digs at the Stoneleigh are more elegant than the old Lover's Lane
location. Standard continental fare, exquisitely prepared and
served. Combined with the new 'Sushi at the Stoneleigh' Ewald's makes
a weekend at the Stoneleigh a much more interesting proposition.

| Ez's | Dallas, TX | |
|
Camp, fun place for excellent hamburgers, wood oven pizza, and fine
salads. Some of the best onion rings in Big D. 50's rock 'n
roll. Great place to bring the kids. You might get them to forget
McDonald's if you do!

| Ez's Restaurants | Dallas, TX | |
|
Same as the other locations on NW Hwy. and in Plano. Very tasty
hamburgers, wood oven pizza, and salads. Some of the best onion rings
in Big D. Great place to bring the kids instead of McDonald's.

| Fang Ti China | Dallas, TX | |
|
Best late night Chinese food in Dallas. In fact, some of the best late
night food in Dallas. Typical Chinese fare, not extrordinary, but
availability at 2:00AM with good service and nice surroundings make
this a place to remember for that late night foodflash.

||
| Farfallo Restaurant | Dallas, TX | |
|
Another of Dallas' long time continental establishments. Sister to
Papillion, Farfallo has been elegantly serving the continental
tastebuds of Dallasites for many years. Romantic booths. Some items
prepared at your table. Very good Caesar salad. Bar upstairs really
swings at night with an older crowd still light on their feet. A bit
smokey though.

| The Feed Bag | Dallas, TX | |
|
Name says it all. Get stuffed! Greasy burgers, fair chicken fried
steak. Usually crowded at lunch. Parking difficult.
|
||
| Filling Station | Dallas, TX | |
|
Same as Greenville location except for long history and authenticity
of Greenville digs. Great burgs, rings, fries, chili, cheese sticks,
nachos etc. Bring your old personalized license plates and they will
bput them on the wall insuring immortality. You'll need it with all
that cholesterol!
|
||
| Filling Station | Dallas, TX | |
|
One of Dallas' original "bar food" restaurants. Funky gas station
theme. Very good burgers, onion rings, fries. The standard cheese
sticks, nachos etc. Cholesterol city! The ethyl burger is a monster!
Specialty 'high octane' drinks sure to keep your head from knocking
. . . .until tomorrow!

| Fuji Ya Japanese Restaurant & Sushi | Dallas, TX | |
|
One of Dallas' first Japanese restaurants and sushi bars. When Fuji Ya
first opened there was only Royal Tokyo and Sakura. Fine terriyaki and
cozy sushi bar. Unusual location for a restaurant of this stature, a
tribute to word of mouth advertising.
|
||
| Alfredo Trattoria | Dallas, TX | |
|
Nice atmosphere. Very good service and food. Particularly good
salads. Not generally as crowded as some more popular places in the
area so it's a good last minute choice on a Friday or Saturday night.
