| Delongs Casual Dining | Pontiac, IL | |
|
A nice place for lunch. Pretty extensive menu with something for almost
everyone. Food is tasty and well prepared. Service is fair, worse if
it's busy. Make sure you read the menu close, there are charges
for condiments and such.

| Lombardi's Trattoria | Ocean City, MD | |
|
Very tasty pizza. The pasta dishes that went by looked delicious. Pretty
crowded, but worth the wiat.

| Martin's Corner Deli | Avon, OH | |
|
A nice Deli with a good selection of sandwiches. I would recommend that
you consider having any sandwich toasted, makes the bread taste better.
The offer several soups and ready to eat foods, like mac and cheese,
stuffed peppers, etc. Good selection of wines, beer and soda. A small,
but tasty selection of bakery. Food can either be taken out or eaten
in.

| Earl's Restaurant | Gallup, NM | |
|
I agree with all the previous reviewers. Food is good, but nothing outstanding.
Very large and, when busy, noisy. While they are courteous, the trinket
sales persons were somewhat annoying.

| Barney's Beanery | Santa Monica, CA | |
|
Tried this because of the history of the restaurant. Not bad food. We
were there on an weekend night and it was stuffed, so service was marginal.
Extensive menu with something for everyone. I didn't find it as
dirty as one of the reviewers, but it wasn't neat.

| Iggy's Sports Grill | Logan, UT | |

A very nice sports bar, with decent food. Nice decor with lots of TVs.
Service was very good. Located near a Holiday Inn Express, so it's
convenient.

| Beartooth Barbecue | West Yellowstone, MT | |
|
This is a great BBQ place. Food is well prepared and the ribs were lean/meaty.
Great sauces to put on the BBQ. Brisket and pulled pork was excellent
as well. Service is very good. A small place, so there might be a short
wait; but the wait is worth it!

| Humphrey's Bar & Grill | Gillette, WY | |
|
Yes, this was a wonderful surprise. Great food, probably one of the
biggest menus I've ever seen. If you don't know what you want,
this is the place to go. The atmosphere is outstanding, cross between
a sports bar and a museum. Lots of memorabilia on the walls and on the
ceiling. Great service. A must try.

| Midpoint Cafe | Adrian, TX | |
|
A very typical Route 66 diner. Food is good and service is adequate.
The claim to fame is the Cafe's Ugly Crust Pie. If you're on
I40 or Route 66, a place to stop. This is the midpoint for the Route 66
trip, 1139 from Chicago/1139 to Los Angeles.

| Kingman Co Steakhouse | Kingman, AZ | |
|
This is an excellent place for a reasonably priced steak. The food was
well prepared and the service was outstanding. The decor is casual.
Will be back when we pass through Kingman.

| Comet "2" Restaurant | Santa Rosa, NM | |
|
This restaurant was established in 1927 and has been a must do on Historic
Route 66. Great food, Mexican food with a southwestern flair. The owner,
Johnny Martinez, is on site doing everything from washing dishes,
cooking and greeting customers. If you have room, try the pies.

| Range Cafe | Albuquerque, NM | |
|
Tried this restaurant on the recommendation of the desk clerk at our
hotel. A great place to eat. Nice menu with an interesting variety;
Meatloaf, Southwestern, Pasta, and other goodies. They bake their
own pies, cookies and turnovers. Very excellent service, attentive
but not pushy. Try this restaurant.
