| Pho Hoa Restaurant | Vancouver, BC | |

Great place for Vietnamese noodles. The bowls range between
$4-6 dollars and about $6 for rice/vermicelli dishes. It fast
and tastes good, but I'm pretty sure they do use MSG.

| Shabusen Yakiniku House Ltd | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Had the lunch buffet a couple of times and one of the Korean boxes.
Buffet selection is decent but the sushi has big chunks of rice.
The Korean box was pretty good in value and taste. Service is pretty
good too.

| Shu Sha Ya Japanese Restaurant | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Eaten the buffet here quite often. The selection is limited but
food is very tasty and service is excellent. Dinner has a much
better selection. Have also tried non-buffet dishes and find
that the quality and value is still very good and you can get full
on the same price if not less.

| Subeez | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Very hip place to eat but must warn that the service is not very
good and that's their trademark. Besides, it makes it fun too.
The food is pretty good as we had dinner here.

| Sun Sui Wah Restaurant | Vancouver, BC | |
|
A fine dining Chinese restaurant, the food is excellent. Everything
tastes fresh and is displayed creatively. The only unfortunate
thing was we ate here on a very busy day and ended up waiting a long
time, over 1/2 hour past our reservation time. But with the food,
it was quickly forgetten.

| Tgi Fridays | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Your regular burger/pasta/other entrees restaurant. I've
heard good things about this restaurant in other countries but
the menu seemed limited and the food was only average. I've seen
signs of late that Red Robins is moving in so not sure where TGI
Friday's going.

| Nakornthai Restaurant | Vancouver, BC | |
|
A very good Thai restaurant in my opinion (versus other "authentic"
Thai restaurants). The food is very good and very good on value.
It's a small restaurant and very cozy. The environment is not
as nicely decorated as other Thai restaurants but the value makes
up for it more times than one.

| Hon's Wun-Tun House | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Excellent value for the type of food. Serve Chinese food, the
usual noodles, fried rice, etc... Dishes are huge. The house
crsipy noodles can fill two people easily. It's very busy at lunchtime
but the turnover is pretty quick.

||
| Hooters | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Serves your usual burgers and entrees. As the name and reputation
goes, the waitresses show a lot of skin. The atmosphere seems
quite dead as you mostly see men there more insterested in eying
the waitresses. The food though is not very exciting or good.

| Ichibankan Express | Vancouver, BC | |
|
My friends like this place as it's cheap and fast but I find the
sushi rice, because it's sitting in a fridge type setting, is
not soft due to the coldness.

| Kamei Royale-Broadway | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Very good Japanese food and proportions are quite large. It's
not cheap though so valuewise it's only good. Also tried the buffet
for about $20 for dinner and it was fantastic, lots of variety
and good taste.

| Koji Japanese Downtown Rstrnt | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Very good authentic Japanese food. Most waitresses are dressed
in kimonos and service is excellent. The meals are artistic and
taste very good. They have some lunch specials which will fill
you up.
|
||
| Macaroni Grill | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Atmosphere is very good and romantic. The food though is only
average, nothing spectacular. Service is very good.

||
| Misaki Japanese Restaurant | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Excellent food and service. We ate the lobster and seafood medley
and it was fantastic. Proportions were generous and we were stuffed.
The only complaint was the music... wierd and sometimes scary.
It's some kind of spaceage music I think.

| Nikko Japanese Restaurant | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Service and food is excellent. Dishes are generous and they have
a selection of dollar sushi for lunch. They have lunch specials
that change day-to-day and are a pretty good value but these lunch
boxes are popular and sometimes take a long time to get yours.
|
||
| Noodle Express | Vancouver, BC | |
|
The noodles in soup are generous and will get you full but some
of the other dishes are not as good in the value department. There
is a wide selection of dishes.
|
||
| Ohana Sushi Japanese Rstrnt | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Usually eat the buffet here. The selection is pretty good and
the food is average. Service is on the good side.
|
||
| Old Spaghetti Factory Rstrnt | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Very good food and service. The atmosphere is great and the price
is good for the quality and quantity of food.
|
||
| Osaka Tappanyaki Steak House | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Very good food. The filet mignon was soooo tender. The chefs are
funny (I think they're the owners too). Excellent service.
|
||
| Aqua Riva | Vancouver, BC | |
|
Tried this once and thought the food was average. The atmosphere
is dark and romantic, and the view on the side is great at night.
We ordered the halibut and filet mignon. The presentation was
very nice but taste was average.
