| Harry Caray's | Chicago, IL | |
|
Popular American food. Pretty good value and good service. They
have homemade potato chips that are interesting (on the tables
in the bar at least). Varied menu selection also gives you many
choices.

| Heaven On Seven | Chicago, IL | |
|
Cajun Food. They have a selection of hundreds of hot sauses on
the wall, plus half a dozen on each table. They encourage you to
spice it up. Its one place where you do not tell them to make-it-as-hot-as-you-can,
because they can crank it up. The only drawback is its usually
crowded and requires a considerable wait.

| Barrington Country Bistro | Barrington, IL | |
|
Delightful and charming Bistro. Food has beautiful presentation
and is prepared very well. Staff is also wonderful. Prices are
a little high.

| Firenze By Night Ristorante | San Francisco, CA | |

Pretty good Itatian. I liked the pasta. Was not excited about
the bread, they need better bread, but I was there on a slow night.
Staff it very friendly and helpful.

| Nathan's Famous | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
Cooney Island hot dog stand, comes to Vegas. The food is just average,
but I do like the polish sausage with grilled onions. The hot dogs
are ok, but I am not sure why they are world famous (but they do include
celery salt, which is required on my hot dog).

| Pizza Factory | Barrington, IL | |
|
One of the best thin crust pizzas in the northwest suburbs. Mostly
a take-out establishment, but they do have tables as well. An
excellent cheese and mushroom.
|
||
| Baja Fresh | Lake Zurich, IL | |
|
Excellent salsa bar. They have a black pepper salsa that is unique.
Food takes a few minutes because they cook it fresh, hence the
name.

| Ellis Island Restaurant | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
Very good BBQ ribs. I had the combo (ribs & chicken). I thought
the ribs were much better then the chicken. Next time, all ribs
for me. Ribs and a beer, under $10, excellent.

| House Of Siam | San Jose, CA | |
|
Very good Thai food. The Pad Thai Chicken was a little to dry. The
appentizers were on the expensive side. Portions are large.
Decor is interesting.

| Mikeys Pizza and Kitchen | Barrington, IL | |
|
Mikeys is a pizza and burger in downtown Barrington. The Pizza
is good, but not great. The burgers are char-broiled. Carry-out
and eat-in dining are available. Its a good additional to town.

| New Delhi | Schaumburg, IL | |
|
Pretty typical Indian lunch buffet. The selection is limited,
but what they do have is pretty good. They have Mango ice/ice cream
that is unique and excellent.
|
||
| Pompei | Schaumburg, IL | |
|
Pompei has a large selection of pre-made sandwiches, which they
bake when you order. The Poor Boy is an example, and pretty good.
They also have fantastic salads.

||
| Jockey Wok N Roll | Hoffman Estates, IL | |
|
Lunch buffet is good. Large selection and most items are prepared
really well. Gov. Chicken is good. They have shrimp on the buffet
to.

They also have good side dishes and drinks. Mortons is located
on Flamingo and Paradise now. Take a special someone with you.

| Flamingo room | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
They know prime rib at the Flamingo Room. Moderately priced and
generous portions. They will bring creamy horseradish by default,
but you can ask for the real horseradish if you like it. They also
have a prime rib & crab legs choice.
|
||
| Conrad's | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
Conrad's is in the Flamingo. Its a very well appointed steak
house. The food is very good, but in my opinion over priced. The
service was very good, but nothing special. I did not get a good
feel in Conrads.

| Roxy's Diner | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
Burgers and Shakes. Its in the Stratosphere and has been recently
remodeled. Has a diner feel to it. Food is ok. Slick back your and
a have your girl wear a hoop skirt.

| Firefly On Paradise | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
Authentic Tapas restaurant. You order a series of appetizer
sized dishes. All are prepared superbly. On occasion they will
start you off with a sample of a couple items. I really like this
place.

||
| Taqueria Canonita | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
Mexican restaurant located in the Venitian right near the end
of the canal. Watch the gondolas as you eat large portions of excellent
mexican food. I was impressed by the drinks. Wait staff is excellent
as well. Take some good company here for a great experience.

| Thai House Restaurant | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
Great Thai place for lunch. We drove quite a ways to get here and
it was worth it. They know spicy at the Thai house...and thats
just the way I like it.
