| Warsaw Inn Buffet | McHenry, IL | |
|
Polish all-you-can-eat place. The food is pretty good and you
will over-eat. Little known fact is that there is another Warsaw
Inn on Harlem Ave. in Chicago.

| Al Biernat's | Dallas, TX | |
|
Started off with Shrimp appetizers the only problem was the term
shrimp....they were HUGE. Ordered the Filet which also was huge
and outstanding. Everything was prepared to perfection. The
atmosphere was great and the service very good.

| Weng's China Buffet | Pine Bluff, AR | |
|
Its a pretty typical chinese buffet. But, to the best of my knowledge,
the only one in Pine Bluff. Went at about 2pm and some of the food
was cold. Service was good, water glass kept full. They charge
for hot tea. The Kung Pao Chicken was my favorite dish.

| Nick's Pizza & Pub | Crystal Lake, IL | |
|
Best known for the pizza. And I admit the pizza is good. On a Friday
or Saturday night the waiting time is long. The wait is made more
bearable by the fact that they provide peanuts in the shell. There
are equally good thin crust pizza places elsewhere.

| Old Ebbitt Grill | Washington, District of Columbia | |
|
The decor (lots of marble & brass) and the service were very good.
Since its close to the White House, never know who you will run
into! The food was excellent and drink sizes were large. I did
not have the Oyster Bar, but they are known for it.

| Garibaldi's Pizza & Pasta Hse | Bloomingdale, IL | |
|
They have a unique sandwich called a "grinder" that is toasted
in the oven. I found that to be good. Other items are pizza by the
slice, etc. Not real exciting.

| Chevy's Mexican Restaurant | Naperville, IL | |
|
Well I like the salsa, its different and has a lot of black pepper.
The service is good, they keep the chips & salsa coming. Fish tacos
are good. If your hungry they have combo plates with either two
of three items. Corn bread...a big hit.

| Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder Co. | Chicago, IL | |
|
The claim to fame is the upside down pizza. I think you should experience
that at least once. The place has been around for at least 20 years
and in the clark street area where "fads" and "themes" come and
go....its got to tell you something. This place has staying power
and it deserves it.

| Pazzo's Cucina Italiana | Chicago, IL | |
|
I like Pazzo's. There is also one out near the O'Hare airport.
I have been to this Pazzo's only for lunch (since its downtown
in the financial district). They do have a very good fettuccini
alfredo. Also very good bread with olive oil and cheese. Hint:
ask for some balsamic vinegar.

| Als No 1 Italian Beef | Chicago, IL | |
|
Ok, this place started out as a garage turned into a beef stand.
It is famous. I went to Univ. of IL which is a block away and ate a
few Al's beefs every week for years. I was never disappointed.
The place is nothing to look at. You have to stand while you eat
and you will still come back again. There is another one downtown
as well.

| Sbarro Italian Eatery | Chicago, IL | |
|
Itailian fast food. Its just ok. The typical slice of pizza and
such. One stand-out item is a the calzone. Its big and filling
but order some extra sauce.

||
| REDFISH | Chicago, IL | |
|
Have only been here for lunch. They could make it a little more
spicy. Gumbo is good, but not the best I have ever had.

||
| Silk Road Jackson Oriental Fast Food | Chicago, IL | |
|
Above average for fast-food chinese. I like the Kung pao chicken
and the spicy chicken (both of which can be pretty spicy!). They
also have decent egg rolls and crab ragoons. The food, even if
you eat-in, is served in carry-out containers. At least that
makes it easy to take some home (or back to the office).

||
| Billy Goat Tavern | Chicago, IL | |
|
Yes, this is the Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger place. And, the
cheeseburgers are good. You should really order a double cheeseburger,
since the patties are smallers then the bun. You can add your own
onions, mustard, etc. Just add a bottle of beer for a perfect friday
lunch.

| Yu's Mandarin | Schaumburg, IL | |
|
I have mostly gone here for lunch. The service is fas and the food
is very good. You can watch them cook the food in Woks through a
glass wall. The portions are fair, but not huge. There is usually
a wait, unless you go during an off time.
I have had some of the HOTTEST Kung Pao dishes here as anywhere.

||
| Russell Barbecue | Rolling Meadows, IL | |
|
Decent BBQ. You order at the counter then find a place to sit and
eat. The seating is on benchs at wooden tables. SO this is a lunch
place. Its good BBQ for here, but nothing compared to in Texas.
I would go back.

||
| Bill's Pizza & Pub | Mundelein, IL | |
|
I have only had Bill's pizza as take-out. Its good thin crust pizza
and was delivered nice and hot.
|
||
| Star Of Siam | Chicago, IL | |
|
This was the first Thai place I ever went to. I made the mistake
of eating the dark brown peppers. Was very hot. Have been back
several times and now I welcome those peppers. Have only been
for lunch.

| B B Codys Back At the Ranch | Deadwood, SD | |
|
I only spent one day in Deadwood, SD. But the place is amazing.
Food here was great and great small town service. Big food, good
value. Hope to get back to Deadwood soon!

| Alumni Club | Schaumburg, IL | |
|
Good place. Its really like a pub. Good burgers always welcome
after drinking and dancing. They also have rooms for private
parties (had a birthday party there). Can get crowded, but thats
part of the fun.
