| Lino's | Chicago, IL | |

Went ther recently, and found it nicer than when I went there several
years ago. The northern Italian style pasta dishes were cooked
to perfection. The house wine was delicious, and sorry that I
do not know the name of the wine. have it, I know that you will enjoy.
The chicken was absolutely tender and moist. Would highly recommend.
The wait staff were very attentive. What a relaxing time we had.

| Ricobene's | Chicago, IL | |
|
Did not eat at this location, but ate at the one on Cicero about
83rd avenue and also the one in Orland Park. I felt that the Cicero
ave had more going for it, as far as the taste of the food. The Orland
Park (on 159th) service was terrible, and the food was not as hot
as the Cicero Ave one. The steak sandwich was as good as the old
Sara's on Canalport. The cheese pizza was surprisenly very tastey
and I would have it again. How different they all run!

| Il Vicinato Ristorante | Chicago, IL | |
|
I went to this place recently for lunch, and it is just as good as
the dinner. The salad is just wonderful with the Italian dressing.
The bread was fresh and good with the olive oil. The steak vesuvio
was so flavorful, and the pasta dishes were cooked to perfection.
A nice change of pace from places who advertises Italian food
and you're so disappointed afterwards. This place you will not
be disappointed.

| Vivere | Chicago, IL | |
|
This was an experience that I will not forget. The food was prepared
as ordered, adn very authentic. Everything, including the hot
appitizers were cooked with the the utmost perfection. The wait
staff were very attentive. The host greeted you as if you were
one of the family who owned the place. Very pleased with our meal
and our after dinner desserts and cocktails were to die for. Louis
XIII cognac was a wonderful experience.

| Leona's Pizzeria | Chicago, IL | |
|
The salad is to die for, but they should get a handle on how to make
pizza. The pizza was terrible. It wasn't the right one, and when
they brought us the one we ordered, they acted like WE made the
mistake, by saying I hope this one is to your liking. It wasn't!
It was what we ordered, but very cold. When we said something about
it she said that she could "warm it up again, but then could not
guarantee that it would hold up. This is not the way I want to spend
my Saturday night. What ever happened to customer service?

| Lou Malnati's Pizzeria Catering | Chicago, IL | |
|
I ate at the one in Naperville, and had the Buffalo Grove one at
a party. By far, one of my favorite pizzas in Chicagoland. The
crust is something else. It is flavorful and has just the right
bite to it. The sauce is very tastey, adn the cheese that they use
is great. Would recommend

| Carson's The Place For Ribs | Chicago, IL | |
|
By far the best BBQ sauce around. The ribs are good too! The pork
chops could easily be mistaken for a pork roast! That's how big
they are. They were tender and very moist. The restuarant itself
could use some updating. The prices for carry out are a bit expensive,
but you get what you pay for, and well worth it.

| Cucina Roma | Westmont, IL | |
|
The decor is just beautiful. It gives you the feeling that you
are in a beautiful Tuscan village somewhere in the hills of Italy.
The place for food is very good also. The peasant dish, with the
sausage and rigatoni was delicious. The appetizers were very
good also. The pasta dishes were cooked just right, although
one dish seem to lack the sauce as they had described. The drinks
were made just right, although the wait staff spilled part of
the martini, and said, "it should not have been filled to the top
anyway!!"

| The Patio Restaurant | Westmont, IL | |
|
Everytime I go to the Patio, they get you in and out, even with the
long lines that appear. The sauce for their ribs is excellent.
The hamburgers are very good too. The onion rings are quite tastey.
We have been there many times over the summer, and enjoy it very
much.

| Pazzo's Cucina Italiano | Westchester, IL | |
|
Went here several times for lunch. The bread is to die for, served
with perfectly flavored olive oil and cheese. They have a very
good salad with Italian dressing. The pasta was cooked very well,
not overdone. The chicken dishes have been a little dry at times.
Not consistant on the chicken. It's a little pricey when you add
the appetizers and drinks.

| Portillo's Hot Dogs | Summit Argo, IL | |
|
The only time I went to this Portillo's I had a cheeseburger that
was so badly dried out that you couldn't tell the meat from the
over darkend bun. The fries were cold, and the soda order was wrong.
I have not been back to this one, although I love the Portillo's
on Roosevelt road in Forest Park. It's a shame, because this place
is on my way home from work, and it would be so easy for me to stop.
Now I go to the Tinley Park one, or the one is Crestwood.

| Agostino's Ristorante Italian Cuisine | Chicago, IL | |
|
This restaurant has remained consistant since the very first
time I visited (the first week of operation. The food was hot,
the salad cold, the drinks made with the right amount of alcohol,
the dessert was fantastic. Would highly recommend. Went there
recently with a group of friends, and I felt we were one of the family.
It is so friendly, that they actually make you feel welcomed and
want to go back. The wait staff was extrordinary. That is why I
would say to anyone, go!!

| Armand's Restaurant & Lounge | Elmwood Park, IL | |
|
One of the best pizza places in the western suburbs. When I lived
close by it was a famill staple on Friday or Saturday nights. Since
I moved to a southside residence, I still go up and pick up a pizza
about once a month. Believe me, I could use a more frequent fix,
but don't have the time. Nobody makes a cheese like Armands. I
have told all of my family and friends and they agree, there's
is the best. Would highly recommend either sit in or carry out.
They also deliver around town.

| Homestead Restaurant | Melrose Park, IL | |
|
All I heard was "HOMESTEAD" for cocktails and steak. I was highly
disappointed. I felt that the service could have been better,
and the food was brought out a little on the cool side. The steak
was way overdone, after asking for it to be medium. It was well
done. Although an apology was offered, it still didn't "cure"
the steak from being overcooked. Not even a "let me buy you a drink,
or how about a dessert or something. What ever happened to customer
service? My friend loved his cocktail, and said they make a good
martini. I think the place was old and tired. I will not go back.

| Morton's | Melrose Park, IL | |
|
I think that this place is in Westchester, not Melrose Park. By
all standards, this has been one of the best steak places I have
ever been to. The service was flawless, and the wait staff left
no detail unturned. By far this was an exceptional meal. Our meal
was brought to us by men in tuxedo, s, smiling as they served,
asking if everything was to our liking. I ordered the filet mignon,
that looked like a half of a cow! The potato was at least 3 pounds.
No kidding, they were very large. I would highly recommend this
place for either a romantic dinner , or for a special date, or if
you just want to have one of the best meals of your life! Be prepared
to have the $$, with drinks and dessert etc, it could run up pretty
quickly.

| Tom's Steak House | Melrose Park, IL | |
|
Very good steaks, not as good as Mortons, but not as pricey either!
The service is "old time" wait staff that can inter mingle if you
allow, and very friendly. The steak was as ordered, hot and juicy.
The potao was a very good size. The salad was just ok. Would go back.

| Krapil the Great Steak | Worth, IL | |
|
The steaks in this place are very good and consistant. You could
always ask for and end cut or not an end cut. The potato has changed
several times since going there. Sometimes it is a hugh one, while
other times they are small. The chopped steak is more like 2 pounds
of meat!! They do not skimp. The service overall was decent, but
twice the waitress touched my steak when trying to "wrap" up the
doggie bag. I had to leave it there both times, and was very disappointed
that I didn't have leftovers for the next day. What she did was
stick my fork into the meat (which was OK) and she couldn't get
it off the fork for the stryo container, so she touched the meat
with her other hand! Please please get this procedure changed!

| Courtright's Restaurant | Willow Springs, IL | |
|
This place is nicely tucked away in the western suburbs on beautiful
grounds. In the summer it is a delight to look outside their windows
and see the beautiful setting. That is only outdone by the beautiful
meals that we've enjoyed there. It can be a bit pricey, but well
deserved. I don't think you will be disappointed. Their menu
often has some unusual entrees that you will not find somewhere
else. Just a great time. If you want the same type of service and
good food, visit there other place in Oak Lawn, Ken's guest House,
which is a little cheaper.

| Ken's Guest House | Oak Lawn, IL | |

This is another resturant that is owned by the same people who
own Courtrights. The food is equally as good, and the service
is good. I had one bad experience there, and have not gone back.
I found a hair in my salad, and the waitress didn't seem too worried
about it, as much as I did. Prior to this experience my food was
very good and hairless. I cannot bring myself to go back, due to
the unsensitivity of the wait staff.

||
| Papa Joe's | Oak Lawn, IL | |
|
The food was average to me. The pasta was overcooked and the service
was too rushed. I felt that they just wanted you in and out. I am
sure they turned over that table 20 times that night, by the way
they rushed you out of there. My companion had a chicken dish that
was very well prepared. If I go back I would order a meat entree,
because I believe that they "hold" the pasta, hence very well
done!
