I have driven all the way from Seattle to introduce friends to this restaurant. I like the strolling accordion players. The music they play and sing add to the atmosphere of the place. I was impressed. They knew the tune and words to "Zwei Herzen in Dreivierteltakt"(Two Hearts in 3/4 Time). I would take my grandmother there if she were still living. I am expecting a visitor from Mannheim Germany soon and will ask her opinion after I take her there. The menu has a wonderful variety of authentic German dishes. Each is prepared very well. However, I still prefer my own sauerbrauten. I like it a little more sour than they prepare it. I especially like the spaetzle and red cabbage served with several entrees. The selection of imported beer is excellent.
This is a very popular restaurant so despite the many tables and dining rooms, without a reservation you can expect to wait 20-45 minutes or longer any day of the week. However, it's well worth the wait.

A good place for lunch. Not much room indoors to sit. A little more seating outdoors on a nice day. The service is quick. Stand in line to place your order. They bring it to you when ready. Their Gyros are excellent. They have a little card to stamp, when you buy 10 sandwiches you get one free. Other dishes are good too, but not the type of place I would go for dinner unless you want to eat light and in a hurry. No atmosphere.
