Bridge Towne Ice Cream Parlor Bridgeton, NJ
Last time I visited the Bridge Towne Ice Cream Parlor was about 4 years ago when I lived in Bridgeton. The building was renovated for an early 1900's look. The interior was given a victorian parlor look. The ice cream was good and the prices a little high but it was worth the extra money. The presentation was fresh and the service was very good. I think they also specialized in old-fashioned cones.
Golden Pigeon Bridgeton, NJ
This is definately diner food but it comes in large portions and is owned by a greek family and so has a greek twist to it. The service is good and they are always busy.
Bridge Water Pub Bridgeton, NJ
Renovated about 5 years ago, like other restaurants in the city of Bridgeton, it has an early 1900's victorian look. It is cheerful and even has a cheers bar. Like the show, everyone knows your name, when you go shopping, who you were seen with...(it is a VERY small town).
The food is good and sometimes the seafood specials are very, very good. It gets a little rowdy on weekends in the evening but is a great family restaurant for a Sunday afternoon or an evening during the early week. The prices are matching to the food and the service is always good. It HAS to be since everyone knows where the waiters/waitresses live.
Here's a tip. If you want special treatment, tell them that 'Wayne the Plumber' is a good friend of yours. Always worked for me.
Cheng's Restaurant Sterling, VA
Always enjoy eating here. The food is quite good, the service is great and the atmosphere is very good. The koi pond in the center of the restaurant is fun and if you ask, they will bring you food to feed the koi when you have a table next to it.
The take-out is also very good. When I think about eating chinese, I think about Cheng's.
China King Restaurant Sterling, VA
I will order take-out from here because the food is good and it is close to my house. the restaurant is clean and the service is good. They are polite and customer oriented.
Joe's Crab Shack Sterling, VA
If you like crab legs...this is the place. You will never tire of looking around at all the fun stuff hanging from the walls and ceiling and the waiters/waitrresses actually seem to be having a lot of fun working.
It is a little too loud for my taste but the seafood is always good and is a fun place to bring a group.
The 'tall' beer is so large that you have to take a drink by turning to the side of your chair to raise it up. A whole new experience in having a 'tall one'.
Logan's Roadhouse Restaurant Sterling, VA
Hopefully, they have changed cooks since they first opened. I ordered a steak and even after I sent one back, the next one wasn't any better.
The service was great and the place is a bit loud. I would have to go back and re-check them out before giving it any better rating but I don't want to throw good money away.
Pacific Sterling, VA
A little pricey but really great service and food. I enjoy all the different types of asian food and the presentation is very good to say the least.
A great place for a business luncheon and also great place for a romantic dinner for two.
These people understand presentation.
That's Amore Sterling, VA
I only have great stuff to say about this place. I love the look of the restaurant, the service and the food is the best.
This is my absolute favorite family restaurant. It has a feel of family and they really treat you great. Um...do I like pasta? You bet!
Glory Days Grill Sterling, VA
If you aren't a sports guy (and I'm not), I don't suggest that you go here. There are TV's on sports channels (who knew there were so many) and everything is about sports. Not a place for the average family.
The burgers there are good and you get plenty for the price. You won't go away hungry but I don't really care for the whole sports theme.
Sports Guys, you have to check this place out. Heaven for you. But I don't suggest you take your date if you are trying to impress her.
Sgt Pepper Market Fresh Dining Reston, VA
If you like cafeteria style dining, this is the place for you. It always makes me feel like I am in school again. Of course, they have more things to choose from and the salad bar is pretty good but the food definately tastes cafeteria style.
A great place to take your family on a budget but not the place to take a date. At least, not the first date. Check it out for a lunch break. As quick as McDonald's and tastier by far. More nutricious, I am sure.
Silver Diner Reston, VA
If you got a think for Diners and 50's music. Go. If you don't, find somewhere else to eat.
The food is plenty. You don't go away hungry. The prices are good and the service is okay too. I personally like the 50's and 60's and enjoy a fun diner now and then. Also, good for the family. Clean.
Rio Grande Cafe Reston, VA
This is a nice mexican-style restaurant with all the mexican dishes. A family restaurant. Not overly fancy and not too pricey.
Not a place for romance or business. Just good food at good prices.
Chez Francois L'Auberge Great Falls, VA
You haven't dined if you haven't been to this place.
If you are trying to impress your date, bring her here. You won't have to work at it, these people and their food will make it special enough.
The food is awesome. You MUST call for reservations and a couple months ahead of time won't hurt any. They only have two serving times each evening.
It is a serious dining experience and the perfect place to pop the big question. Bring your wallet!
Le Relais Great Falls, VA
This place is new. Sunday brunch is much less expensive and is served with champayne. The service and food is great.
It is located in a new shopping center located on Seneca Road and Georgetown Pike.
They make you feel special there.
Old Brogue Irish Pub Great Falls, VA
Fun. Dirty. Old. Some nights has live music. Irish music. Some great Irish dishes and otherwise plain food.
You go for the beer, atmosphere and to sing along with whoever the Irish singers are that night. The service is also great and always friendly.
Serbian Crown Restaurant Great Falls, VA
Went there after doing a local theatre with the entire cast and crew. They have a piano in the center of the room and a pianist that knows any show tune you can hum. They play show tunes all night and even give you a book of show tune songs if you like to sing along. And with a local theatre group there, everyone sings and has a good time.
Recommended for the artsy crowd.
Johnson's Charcoal Beef House Leesburg, VA
They have steak and more old rifles than you can imagine. I love the old guns and rifles but the steaks just weren't that memorable.
The cook needs to work on his skills for cooking steak or someone is going to pull down one of those antiques and there will be a re-make of the old classical "High Noon".
that's about it, pard'ner.
Ashburn Pub Ashburn, VA
I'm not a pub person so I'm not the best person to review this. The food is so-so and like I said, I'm not a pub guy. But then I'm not a sports guy either so pub life is not my bag.
The burgers are okay.
Golden China Chantilly, VA
Food is okay. Admosphere is okay. Service is good. Not much else. Not a place to take your date.
