Very good Italian food at a moderate price. The atmosphere is
very cozy and comfortable, and the waitstaff is friendly. The
menu is pretty extensive, so you are sure to find a dish to your
liking.

| Old Spaghetti Factory | Stockton, CA | |
|
Although the quantity of food is ample, the food is consistently
average at best. There is nothing extraordinary about this place,
and you pretty much know what you are getting into when you go here.
Standards such as spaghetti and meatballs and fettucini alfredo
reign supreme here, but if you want something more creative or
adventurous, I would suggest going elsewhere.

| Le Cheval | Oakland, CA | |

I LOVE this place, and the only reason I am giving it four stars
instead of five is because the service is inconsistent. I would
say about 75% of the time the staff is right there...filling your
water, taking plates away...without you having to ask. Other
times, it is hard to flag someone down. I really don't understand
why! However, I have to give the staff props for getting the food
to the table right away. If you are super hungry, you will not be
disappointed as you will get your food almost immediately. Speaking
of the food, I always order the spring rolls and a beef or curry
dish, and I have never been disappointed. The food is excellent.

Although the dishes are very good, what I like most about this
place is the ambience. It is very romantic and cozy.

| Sushi House | Alameda, CA | |

Fresh sushi and really good bento boxes make this a must eat. There
is about a ten minute wait when they are really busy, but it is well
worth it. Check out their web site at www.e-sushihouse.com for
an extensive menu. I drive from Emeryville to go to this place,
it's that good. Don't forget to end the meal with some mochi ice
cream...yummy!
