Best take out hot wings! I'm not fond of chicken but can't get
enough of Boyd's Hot Wings and neither can my 7 year old twins who
ate the left overs for breakfast and insisted on bringing them to school
for lunch and ate them cold.

| Rio Station Restaurant | Rio Grande, NJ | |
|
I have eaten here a about a half a dozen times. Each time gets worse.
The last time was THE LAST TIME! I went there with my wife and 4 children
(2 of which are twin 3 year olds). We only waited approximately
10 minutes to be seated, a waitress came right over and took our
drink orders. She never came back! I had to go to the hostess after
waiting 15 minutes to inquire about our drinks and waitress.
Apparently the waitress went on vacation because they sent a
new waitress to our table and she took another drink order. She
came back approximately 5 minutes later with our drinks and then
took our food order. 15 minutes later the food for our todlers
arrived (chicken tenders and french fries). Approximately
10 minutes later my turkey club sandwich and french fries arrived.
15 minutes later the twins and I were finished eating and there
was no sign of my wife's or other 2 children's meal. I
went over to the hostess again. Approximately 1 minute later
their meals arrived. My son's steak and french fries were
ice cold, my wife's crab cakes arrived without the french
fries or other vegetables she ordered and my daughter's
cheeseburger and french fries arrived cold and without the cheese.
I again walked over to the hostess and complained. Their food
was taken back to the kitchen. The twins were now getting a little
restless so I took them outside while my wife and other 2 children
waited for their food. Approximately 5 minutes later, their
food was returned and everyone's meal was minus french fries.
We were there close to an hour before half of us were served and
then waited close to another 30 minutes before the other half
were served. We complained to the manager about the service,
cold food and missing french fries. In exchange we got a "sorry"
and they deducted the price of 3 orders of french fries. Their
lastest special is to offer $2.00 in cash to everyone who comes
into the restaurant and orders a meal. They say it's to get
customers into the restaurant who they believe are avoiding
the place because of the road construction being done. THINK
AGAIN! It has nothing to do with road work!

| Angelo's Fairmount Tavern | Atlantic City, NJ | |
|
The food was excellent but you need to take a look at the entire
picture before deciding whether this place is for you. You enter
through the bar to gain access to the restaurant. We walked in
at 6 PM, the bar was standing room only, it was very cold, VERY noisy,
people were drunk, boisterous and obnoxious. This restaurant
does not take reservations except for parties of 10 or more. There
is no hostess station, upon entering the bar you must make your
way through the crowd of people standing around the bar, in order
to ask the bartender "How do I get a table". We were informed by
the bartender that he will put our name on the list and that there
is an hour wait. After two hours of being pushed and pulled by patrons
trying to make their way to the bar, we were finally shown to our
seat, thats when we realized what eventually happens to the drunks
at the bar, they also get shown to a table. We sat across from a table
of 6, they were drunk, obnoxious and crude. A family with 3 little
children were seated at the table behind the table with the 6 drunks,
the drunks were politely asked to curb their language which incited
them to become louder. Although there were a number of waiters
and waitresses in the area, not one approached the table to ask
them to behave themselves. After waiting 2 hours for a table,
we were then rushed through our meal. We were at our table at 8 PM
and paying our bill at 8:40 PM. We were there on a Saturday night,
most likely their busiest night. While we were at the bar we overheard
that they were serving a party of 22, another large party celebrating
a baby christening, a party of 18, 14, 12, two parties of 10 and
they were holding a table for a party of 16 which was an hour late.
It would seem that this restaurant caters to large parties while
they encourage their smaller parties of 2, 4 and 6 to wait in their
bar for hours spending money and getting drunk. If I wanted this
kind of atmosphere I would have eaten at TGI Fridays and not spent
$26.00 for an entree. The restaurant was recently expanded,
the bar and seating area has more than doubled, now if they would
only manage things a little better it might become a great restaurant.

| Matteo's Italian Restaurant | Honolulu, HI | |
|
I have to disagree with the majority of the previous reviews of
this restaurant. I've only eaten here once (I've only been to
Hawaii once) and I found the food to be excellent. One reviewer
was bothered by all the attention of the wait staff. I think they
treat every customer like they are royalty and I think it's great.
Why not be treated like a King or Queen once in your life? Others
have complained that it's too dark, that's called atmosphere,
it's great, every restaurant should have some, especially on
those very special romantic nights with your loved one at your
side. I found no trouble reading the menu, the waiter turned up
the table lighting for us to do so. Others have complained that
the restaurant is overpriced or too expensive. Wake up an smell
the coffee, your in Hawaii where breakfast for two at MacDonald's
could cost you $20.00. If you want inexpensive then don't go to
Hawaii where EVERYTHING except pineapple is shipped in.

Food was excellent and plentiful......but if you go on a week
night or any other time when they aren't busy, expect to wait....a
long time. Also if you go during the summer....the air conditioner
doesn't work too well. We spent almost two hours with 3 other couples
at our grill side table waiting for our chef to arrive. We were
served as soon as we sat down (drinks, salad and soup) and then
waited and waited and waited while we all lost weight from sweating
until our chef arrived to cook our entree's. When they are busy
I would hope they have more than one chef working.

| The Bacchanal | Atlantic City, NJ | |
|
I've eaten at this restaurant a number of times, even hosted a
party of 22. I've never been disapointed yet. I've copied the
following discription right from the restaurants web site to
give you an idea of what to expect;
Caesars offers a unique dining-cum-entertainment experience with its glorious Bacchanal. Named for the ancient Roman god of wine and revelry, Bacchanal is more than a restaurant. It is theater, with an orgiastic menu served in a palace of pleasure, set in a regal court dominated by a massive marble pool. Servers and attendants are attired in lavish costumes recalling the courtiers of ancient Rome. It is in this dramatic setting that honored guests are dazzled with an evening of unparalleled dining -- a munificent all-inclusive gourmet feast including unlimited wine tastings for a set price of $49.95 per person. The five-course banquet kicks off with a dramatic presentation of antipasto, including massive shrimps, artichoke hearts, stuffed grape leaves, and an elaborate array of chilled appetizers adorning an illuminated pedestal. There's a creamy lobster bisque, as well as specialties du jour, followed by a traditional Caesar salad or the special Gladiator Salad with roquefort dressing. Sumptuous entrees are created in a procession of bounties from the woodlands of Rome and the realm of Neptune. Among the favorites are grilled rack of lamb, herbed veal chop with wild mushrooms, seared beef tenderloin, rock shrimp crusted sea bass and salmon, or half lobster and tequila shrimp over linguine. Desserts are dazzling to the eye as well as the appetite, and include flambeed bananas foster or cherries jubilee over vanilla ice cream, praline imperial with a silky white mousse and passion chocolate cake layered with chocolate granache and chopped walnuts. Throughout the evening, you're attended by a wine goddess pouring selections of white, red, rose wines and champagne to complement each course. A harpist sets the tone with soft background music recalling the courts of Nero and Caesar, and a strolling guitarist happily obliges with requests for your favorites. A wandering magician tantalizes diners with mystical sleight-of-hand tableside, and costumed attendancts offer pampering back and shoulder massages between courses. It's an evening that guests remember for a very long time, and the all-inclusive price of $49.95 makes it one of the best luxury values in town. |

| Carrabba's Italian Grill | Bensalem, PA | |
|
I've eaten here at least a dozen times since they opened. The food
is very good and they serve generous portions. I've only gone
back to this restaurant because it was close to where I lived,
and closed later then some of the other restaurants in the area.
****BUT....they don't take real reservations, they will give
you a reservation time with a promise to be seated within 30 minutes
of that time. You get there and wind up waiting 45 minutes to be
seated. The waiting area is very small and they usually have people
waiting outside. The restaurant is wide open and noisy, there
are no intimate late night dinners to be had here. They have a large
bar seperated by a chest high wall, the bar usually fills up after
the last horse race at Philadelphia Park located right accross
the street. The crowd at the bar is usually load, intoxicated
and obnoxious. The smoking section and non smoking section is
seperated by air. The last time I was there I witnessed a foursome
ask for the smoking section, the hostess told them she had no tables
available in the smoking section but she would put them at a table
right next to the smoking section and they can "just move over
a few feet and smoke". I happened to be seated just a few feet away
and every 10 or 15 minutes had anywhere from one to all four of them
standing near my table puffing away. The imaginary wall seperating
the smoking and non smoking section did nothing to keep the smoke
from our table. I smoke but do not like smoking while I'm eating.
The heating and air condition never works right so you'll spend
alot of time taking your coat off and then putting it back on. Your
hot one minute and freezing the next. I also tried this restaurant's
Cherry Hill NJ location and that was a seperate horror story.
If you like good food and don't care about the noise, smoke or sudden
temperature changes then eat here.

| Uncle Bill's Family Restaurant | Cape May, NJ | |
|
Not exactly IHOP but as close as you'll get in the Cape May area.
This restaurant is one of many doing business as Uncle Bill's
Family Restaurant in the Cape May area. This one is actually located
in North Cape May. A good, in-expensive breakfast establishment.

| Rio Grande Diner & Restaurant | Rio Grande, NJ | |
|
Good food and plenty of it. My only complaint is that they close
too early. I thought it was a violation of Diner Law to close, only
in Cape May County can you find a diner that isn't open 24 hours
a day 7 days a week. Don't they know that when the bars close you
suppose to have somewhere to go for breakfast and or coffee. Just
think how stupid you'll look when you go over to that person you've
been eyeing up all night at the bar and say "wanna go get some breakfast".

| All Amer Hamburger Drive-In | Massapequa, NY | |
|
Long before I ever ate at McDonald's or Burger King, I ate at All
American. I use to stop there on my way home from Massapequa High
School and have two Double Double's. Not only do they have the
best hamburgers but they have by far the best french fries. These
aren't the frozen kind, these are made right in front of everyone
using a fresh potatoe. I haven't lived in New York since 1981 but
make sure I stop there everytime I visit mom.

| Dick & Dora's Restaurant | Massapequa, NY | |

This restaurant is very family oriented. The food is good and
prepared like you'd get at home. The only drawback is the parking
lot. As I recall it is very small.

| Patsy's Italian Restaurant | New York, NY | |
|
One of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Make sure you make
a reservation. The restaurant was reviewed by Audrey E. and she
seemed to know alot about the history of Patsy's so maybe she could
tell me whether or not there is any connection between this Patsy's
and the Patsy's that was located on first Avenue between 117th
and 118th street in Harlem.
