This resturaunt is casual enough to be comfortable in, but elegant
enough for a romantic night out. The atmosphere is lively.
Reservations suggested
Event: 1-year anniversary
Total Bill: about $70 for 2 entrees, with appetizer, and wine.
Service: The service was excellent. I called ahead and let them
know I had a special occation arranged and wondered if I could
have flowers delivered there, to be presented during the meal.
They were happy to make the arrangements with my reservation
and were so kind to keep the flowers in one of their coolers. I also
requested some descretion and they were able to provide a booth
that offered some degree of privacy, without feeling isolated.
Our service was prompt and friendly, there were no dishes sitting
on the table for too long and we didn't have to wait if we needed
anything, but they didn't hover, either.
Food: My date and I had calamari as an appetizer. It was a little
on the rubbery side, but just slightly. Their house red was sweet
and fragrant. My date and I had their French onion soup. They serve
it in it's crockware, with the cheese melted over, very good,
slightly salty. My date ordered steak, medium-rare. It was juicy,
with a good balance of brown with just a bit of pink inside. My swordfish
was light and tender.
Cleanliness: The dining area wasn't sterile, nor was it
dirty. It has a lived-in feel. The ladies restroom was very clean,
with the exception of a little bit of fresh mud (It was raining,
outside) on the floor.

Sit right down, relax. This is a family resturaunt.
Cutting right to the chase on this one, their food is wonderful;
presentation, excellent; atmosphere, friendly. A place to
relax, rather than just rush through your meal. No need to dress
up, but you would probably feel out of place in your sweats.
Event: Post-shopping dinner with sister
Bill: $35 includes 2 entrees, 1 carafe sangria, 1 dessert, 2 coffees.
Entree portions are large enough to split.
Service: Seated in no time, without a reservation, our attentive
server pulled out our seats for us, offering our napkins. He showed
us the best way to extract roasted garlic cloves from the bulb,
while serving traditional bread and dipping oil.
Food: Their lettuce was just a little wilted in some spots, but
otherwise the salad is very good. My eggplant parmigiana was
excellent, as eggplant can be bitter, the dried, sweet tomatoes
made for a wonderful contrast and added texture. The house sangria
was delightful with the added bits of apple for flavor, a fairly
robust wine, without weight. The tiramisu simply put: yum. The
lady fingers were a little heavy with moisture, but the consistancy,
texture and taste were quite enjoyable. Coffee was rich, without
being muddy.
Cleanliness: on a scale of 1-10, I would say 9. Very clean, altogether,
but there was some litter on the ladies' room floor.
Entertainment: You may just see your waiter or waitress sing!
Accompanied by piano, the staff brings a fun musical flair to
the atmosphere.

Good service, always courteous and prompt. Their food is wonderful,
I especially like the sweet and sour pork. We don't feel ackward
bringing a 2-year-old in.

Good (American)chinese, with some more exotic (traditional)dishes.
The bartender isn't skimpy, either on the drinks, either.
The service is pretty good, but the table got a bit cluttered.

If you come in on a slower night, the waitstaff is friendly and
the food is great, with good margaritas. If you come in on a busier
night, your experience may be somewhat compromised.

A place to hang out, squashy couches and all.
The atmosphere of Brazil is what makes it so good. The food actually
takes a backseat to it's comfy charm. The hot chocolate is
perfect for when you've been prowling the streets of Royal
Oak and are looking to relax. Their decor is lively and sleek,
with lots of bright colors, slightly muted in subtle lighting.
