Wholly Cannoli Worcester, MA
I agree with Brenda. This is one of the finest bakeries I have eveer visited anywhere, and if you read my reviews, I have been lots of places. As Comic Book Guy on the Simpsons might say: " Best. Cannoli. Ever." MMM-MMMM D'Lish.

Maxwell Silvermans Toolhouse Restaurant Worcester, MA
Maxwell Silverman's is a wonderful, unexpected surprise in the heart of downtown Worcester. Wonderfully decorated, Maxwell Silverman's blends moderately upscale dining with the old feel of a warehouse boiler room, a bizarre but well done combination. The atmosphere was enhanced by a piano player and dance floor. The food was well presented and portions are large enought that one wonders if they should pay more than the menu suggests. The diamond cut filet is tops among entrees and was served perfectly medium rare.
Nancy Chang Worcester, MA
This is definately NOT your typical chinese restaurant. First, the food is prepared to order and is extrememely fresh. Second, they use only their own oil blend for cooking- prepared specially by Nancy herself. The food is very tasty, fresh, and exciting.
111 Chop House Worcester, MA
I had a similar experience as the last reviewer, and it did sour my dining experience there, which is tooo bad since the food is excellent. I guess if you don't mind waiting a bit for a meal if they mess up your reservation... I knock it down a few stars because of the service. i am big on service. I don't care how good your food is, don't treat me like crap. I am there to spend money and I don't have to be.
Irish Times Worcester, MA
Good, inexpensive food on the 1st floor with live music and a bar. The 2nd floor is their main eatery. However, where Irish Times shines is in it's 3rd and 4th floors. the 4th floor is more of a loft of the 3rd floor, which is the dance club. live bands also play here, and there is a huge bar. Lots of college students, where the most popular part of Irish Times is the top two floors. Definitely, one of the few good places to go in Worcester
First & Last Tavern Hartford, CT
First and Last is an upscale pizza place (upscale for pizza that is.) If you get a chance, you should take a look at much of the material hanging on the wall. First and Last has been around for many many years, and there are newspaper clippings and other historical items on the walls (all related to the tavern.) The pizza is brick oven pizza, and usually very good. Be aware though, there are good and bad seats at First and Last. The best seats are the booths in the dining room, they are quieter compared to the bar or center dining room.
Black-Eyed Sally's Hartford, CT
This is the best restaurant in Hartford and is perfectly located just blocks from the bars, arts, downtown and the Civic Center. The food is incredible . . . especially the pulled-pork and beef brisket. For the side dishes, my lunch companion is a stalwart of the red beans and rice while I generally stick to the twice-fried vinegar chips. The southern fashioned po'boy sandwich is also a crowd pleaser! The selection of hot sauces made in-house kick up any meal a few notches. *Bam*!
Hot Tomato's Hartford, CT
Very good menu selection. The service is great. Try their special garlic cheese bread and the lobster pasta. This is a great place to go with friends before a night out in downtown.
Washington Diner Hartford, CT
The place hasn't been open for the last six years because of a kitchen fire. Get it off the charts. STILL BURNED.
Franklin Giant Sandwich Shop Hartford, CT
This little hole in the wall has the best grinders with huge portions of meat. I could barely get my mouth around the turkey, which was fresh. The sausage was also overflowing with meat. If you like ambience, it's not the best place to go, but call ahead and take it out. You'll be glad you did.
Vito's Pizza By the Park Hartford, CT
Top notch atmosphere with attention to details. Nice view of the capitol and Bushnell park. Food was superbly done, well executed and was overall delicious. You pay for an exquisite meal prepared by friendly staff. Fish is fresh and melts in your mouth. Dishes prepared with an artistic accentuation. Desserts equally artistic, truly as good as they look! A must for the tastebuds!
Rajun Cajun Hartford, CT
If you like it hot this is a great place to go. If you need it hottier to be afraid to ask. The staff is so-so but still worth going atleast once to try out something from the ordinary .
Congress Rotisserie Hartford, CT
Congress Rotisserie is always a great place to get a down home meal. They have wonderful cakes, cookies and scones all fresh baked at their Commiserie. They also use fresh baked bread for all of their sandwiches cut thick. The sandwiches may seem expensive, but they are enormous. My favorites of the Sandwiches is the Chicken&Cranberrie a traditonal, or the Curried Chicken Salad with Mango Chutney sauce. Both very good. Don't leave without a side of mashed potatoes, or one of their funky salads, such as mediteranean pasta salad, or tortelini salad. Great for bringing the family home a full meal as well. Get a combo dinner with a whole chicken mashed potatoes, and one of their many, mant, other hot or cold selections. Don't forget the Cookies!!! Another family favorite. So don't turn on that stove tonight!!! BRING IT ON HOME FROM CONGRESS ROTISSERIE!!!!! also try their heavenly cakes, take home a menu and call in your order. The service is good and fast. As always check your order before bringing it home... Even the best of places may forget an item every now and then...

Casa Loma Restaurant Hartford, CT
If you like a bit of real class -- without pomposity or stuffiness -- this is the place for you. Your waiter won't audition to become your friend, but (s)he'll be helpful and relaxed. Going to is a bit of an occasion, something special rather than everyday. If you've been going to chain restaurants a lot, this will remind you what dining out used to feel like. I love it.
Prospect Cafe Hartford, CT
The Prospect Cafe is on the edge of Hartford/ West Hartford. It is a great place to go in the spring/summer because you can sit out on there nice patio. The Italian food is good, they do have quite a diverse menu though. Which also has dishes that the young ones will not stick their noses up at. It has very good service, and nice atmosphere in and out. The price is mediumly expensive, but it's so nice there that I really can't complain. A delicious and relaxing experience!!!
Chinese Buffet Hartford, CT
I did not find this buffet to be very good. much of the food seemed to have been sitting for a long time. the selection was not the same as for example King Buffet in Manchester, Windsor, and even Waterford, CT. i would have to say there are better china buffets in the hartford area.
Tortilla Flat Providence, RI
Great mexican food and specials...I tried the rattlesnake...its not bad. Great margarita's...and a definate stop on Cinco deMayo...I've always wondered what the chair was for at the bar...now I know.
Cafe Nuovo Providence, RI
F you've ever eaten in Europe --- and I have --- you're used to the kind of snooty wait staff. I speak a little Italian, so I've had good luck with the personnel here. Very authentic-type European menu, good drinks list, and a seriously upscale crowd at times. My firm has an account here for the business dinners, so I guess that's why I'm treated well. Reservations are a good idea if you're not known to the folks here.
