| Cantonese Chef | Beloit, WI | |

The food is fabulous! They will cook to order, no oil, spicy, mild,
just ask. I'm 6'4" and 230 lbs. and they bring more on a plate than
I can eat. Four Happiness is especially good, with large portions
of tender beef, barbequed pork, melt in your mouth chicken breast
and large succulent shrimp. Try it with black mushrooms!

| Lacrepe En Haut | Ormond Beach, FL | |
|
Truely fine dinning at it's best. Rated as one of the top restraunts
in the south east. Incredible food and service. An rare find for
this area. Great wine selection. For a international spicy treat
be sure to check out the Thia Shrimp appetizer. Everything on the
menu is great.

| Pho 84 | Oakland, CA | |
|
Best kept secret. I know I will regret this, but this place beats
all. Nice quiet little place, with the best Vietnamese food in
town. I highly recommend the Lobster tails (appetizers) or the
saute Prawns (same sauce)that are cheaper. I know all will enjoy
everything one the menu.

| Blue Ox Cafe | Olney, MD | |
|
I have been here once, and tried to go once more. The first time
the food was good, but the service was horrible. My entree and
salad came at the same time, the waiter tried to take my meal before
I was finished, and he didn't know how to open the bottle of wine.
I thought I'd give it another try so I went with my wife and 12 yo
son. There were a lot of seats available, but the hostess disappeared
for 5 minutes then they tried to seat us in the bar (with my 12 yo).
When I complained that I didn't want to sit there, she disappeared
again, and so did we.

| Pacific Dining Car - Los Angeles | Los Angeles, CA | |
|
Easily the best service I have ever experienced in all my years
living in Los Angeles! I have eaten in Steak houses in Chicago,
Los Angeles, New York, and Miami....this is with out a doubt one
of the best in the and certainly the finest on the West Coast.
|
||
| Pacific Dining Car - Santa Monica | Santa Monica, CA | |
|
This place has got the best meat I have ever had in all of Los Angeles.
They also have great breafast dishes which are available as early
as 6:00 am, or as late as midnight or even 1:30 am!

| Lemongrass Grill | Brooklyn, NY | |
|
The best thai food in park slope, and all the entrees are under
ten bucks. The food is always fresh, and in the summer it is particularly
nice to sit outside in the garden. Be prepared to wait if you are
going anywhere near dinner time on a weekend.

| Ground Round | Waldorf, MD | |
|
This particular establishment went through some "Hard Times"
about one year ago. Recently the restaurant brought two young
fellows in to change the place around. Not only did these young
fellows change the place, but they made it into a fun atmosphere
like I used to remember the Ground Round for. The food is outstanding
the sevice is impecable, and the all around feeling is comfortable.
I know not all people will agree with me, but those who will lose
the typical "Waldorf Attitude" and give this place a try again
will not only be amazed by the fantastic food, but by the accomplishments
these two young fellows have worked so hard to do.
-Thank You-

This is one of a chain in town. Home made bread, pies and cakes.

Decor is nice. Out of town guests enjoy this spot. The wait can
be 30 minutes or more. Ample parking.

| Casa Carmen | Phoenix, AZ | |
|
If Garcia's is a 5 star place for Mexican food (more appropriately
called 'texmex' here in phoenix since the
'Mexican' food here in Phoenix is generally of that persuasion)
Then Casa Carmens' is going to be at least
8 stars in taste, quality and flavor. I eat there often
and the food is always fresh, tasty and the salsa is made in house,
so you know it's fresh (not out of a bottle or can!). They also make about
the best killer margarita on the west side. There is always fresh
flowers on every table every day, makes for an overall nice experience.

| Sol Azteca | Birmingham, AL | |
|
This is one of Birmingham best kept secrets. This little dive
is hidden in the Vestavia Motor Lodge but has some wonderful mexican
dishes.
Plenty of seating but get there early. It sis usually VERY crowded.

| Tout Sweet! Inc. | Delray Beach, FL | |
|
Fabulous lunch menu and desserts to die for in a comfortable old
fashioned ice cream parlor. Restaurant features European Panini
sandwiches and gourmet bakery products. The ice cream specialties
are made with San Francisco's super premium Double Rainbow Ice
Cream and homemade French Custard Ice Cream.

| Il Forno Pizzeria | Gaithersburg, MD | |
|
The pasta calamari is out of this world. Their claim to fame is
cooking the pizza in a wood burning oven, which does give the pizza
a wonderful distinct flavor. The fried appetizers, with the
exception of the calamari, take on the flavor of the oil. I would
not reccomend them. Stick to the pastas and pizza and I think you
will come away with a pleasurable eating experience. The friendliest
and most effecient servers seem to be there the end of the week(ie
Thurs/Fri).

| Vien Dong Restaurant | Tacoma, WA | |

Meat ball soup is fantastic along with the French sandwiches.
I have not tried any other dishes.

| Un Bacio | Scottsdale, AZ | |
|
Giannefranco Motti (Franco)has moved what was a small but in
demand fine dining (northern) Italian bistro to a larger location
in the Gainey Ranch area of Scottsdale but it's lost none of its
charm, its great food or Franco's personal touch (he's the guy
in the white chef's outfit). Un Bacio also has a fun bar, complete
with piano but the food is really good and the best part.
