| Seva Restaurant | Ann Arbor, MI | |
|
Vegetarian food prepared and served by people who really love
food and know how to prepare and serve it. A wide ranging menu,
full bar and a solid staff make this an experience to be enjoyed
even by full fledged omnivores.

| Ray's Drive-In | Grand Haven, MI | |
|
I grew up on the fries here which are, in my opinion, the best in
the world. Yes I said the world and I would put a Ray fry up against
any other on the planet and expect it to win!! Good burgers. Closed
Sundays

| Clover Bar & Restaurant | Grand Haven, MI | |
|
This is SOME pizza!! I love the stuff and dream about it now that
I live in Ann Arbor. Fresh, tasty and hot.. with a suace I cannot
duplicate. You need to wash this down with good ole American Beer
(no imports please) on a hot Saturday night after playing in the
water all day.. Yum!

| Rendezvous Restaurant | Grand Haven, MI | |
|
It's not good food.. it's not bad either. It's food
and when yuo are hungry and nothing else is open it is acceptable.

| Tip-A-Few Restaurant & Tavern | Grand Haven, MI | |
|
Amazing Burritos! I mean world class, outstanding burritos!
I cannot say enough good about them. They are huge as well. Do not
plan on eating anything else and come hungry.

| Dids Deli | Grand Haven, MI | |
|
Solid food presented in a nice setting this deli has been around
over 20 years now. The sandwiches are still good and hearty.

| Haarer's Meeting Place | Manchester, MI | |
|
This is now Dan's River Grill and boy is it wonderful. Remodeled
inside and out it simply sparkles. The food is outstanding with
locally grown lamb and pork dishes and a seasonal menu. Not to
be missed.

| Nick's Fishmarket | Chicago, IL | |
|
Pricey but a Chicago institution that is rock solid. This is a
good restaurant for client dinners when you wish to impress.
Stick to the seafood, terestrial dishes are dicey at best, ill
prepared and lacking flavor.

| Giordano's Pizzeria Restaurants | Chicago, IL | |
|
Yum! Super thick, Chicago Style Pizza has em lined up around the
block in all seasons. Well done with a fast and super nice waitstaff
this is a Chicago experience not to be missed. Wash down your pizza
with Goose Island Ales and Beers locally produced.

| Heaven On Seven | Chicago, IL | |
|
I go there a lot however I only ever have one thing the Jimmy Feed
Me. A collection of several courses of the house specialities
I cannot finish it! but the tastes and textures the impeccable
service, the chef/owner pouring the sherry on my turtle soup
(which is beyond wonderful) is not to be missed. For those who
eschew the MOUNDS of food in the Jimmy Feed Me there is the Jimmy
Junior Feed Me which is similar with fewer courses. Of course
there is always an excellent ala carte menu and the hot sauce collection
is not to be missed.

| The Signature Room At The 95th | Chicago, IL | |
|
We have only ever eaten Sunday Brunch in this high rise on the water
in Chicago. The view from atop Chicago's third tallest skyscraper
is beyond wonderful (Unless you garner a cloudy day) and the brunch
is solid, delicious and fresh. Lacking more adventuresome fare
those of you who are picky eaters looking to beef, chicken and
shrimp will be pleased with this selection.

| Coco Pazzo | Chicago, IL | |
|
Solid Northern Italian fare with good food and a solid, friendly
staff. I was dissapointed in the wine list with expensive and
trendy wines rather than the good solid "finds" I
was hoping for.

| Soul Kitchen | Chicago, IL | |
|
I used to love it here. We would eat here every Sunday morning like
clockwork when we lived downtown 6 years ago (and mere blocks
from this eatery). Then we visited this past spring and were saddanded
that the menu had changed and shrunk!! Some of the favorites were
replaced by a tasteless dishes that did not inspire the imagination.
Where are the omlettes with Crawdads? What happened to the Cheese
Grits? They no longer melt in your mouth and the Bloody Mary mix,
once a fabulous amalgamation of flavors is now just spicey without
flavor. I am really depressed about this!

| Lawry's The Prime Rib | Chicago, IL | |
|
Meat.. but if you don't like meat they have meat.. and if you
still aren't happy there is always meat. Yes they do offer
the unbiquitous fish and seafood choice but the Prime Rib Rules
here and to not get it would be a shame. The Spinach Souffle is a
marvel and the spinning salad a hoot to watch come together. The
prime rib is heavenly. Cooked to perfection and melts in your
mouth. I have never had room for dessert!

| Ann Sather's Restaurant | Chicago, IL | |
|
My Grandmother was Swedish. I could swear in Swedish before I
could speak proper English and I can assure you that the Swedish
Pancakes here are EXACTLY like hers. Wonderful, light and yummy.
I miss my Grandma. Tak.

| Ruth's Chris Steak House | Chicago, IL | |
|
This is THE date steak place in Chicago. The service is wonderful
and the steaks, served at an astonishingly high heat, amazing.
To not get the butter sauce on the steaks is heresy at best (at that
point what will a little more fat do anyway?). The side dishes
(priced seperatly) are more than enough to share.

| Passage to India | Philadelphia, PA | |

Delicious Indian food presented in an authentic manner with
solid waitstaff. I love this place and eat here whenever I am in
Philly. Not to be missed.

| City Garden Chinese Restaurant | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
Really, really good Scallion Pancakes are a highlight of this
crowded at lunch restaurant. Very good.
|
||
| Zanzibar Blue | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
Outstanding cuisine in a wonderful setting. The Crab Cakes..
well I am not sure what to say, all crab, no cake. The desserts are
also outstanding. I love this place.
Oh and the Jazz.. smooth, and delicious.
