| Cajun Attic | Ottawa, ON | |
|
Despite being listed as a restaurant with entrees under $15,
you'll find that most of the better/authentic dishes range
from $18 to $25. Pay no attention to those items denoted with as
asterix (*) - even though the chef claims that such items are hot,
you may very well find yourself reaching for the hot sauce...
after all, isn't the Cajun experience supposed to be hot?
I had the blackened chicken - nothing to rave about really (in
fact it was little short on the rice). She had the salmon and found
it especially tasty. The Cajun Ceasar (3 ounces?) may have had
something to do with that. Overall, not bad. But there are better
place out there. Service was friendly, if not the most attentive.

| Texas Steak Co | Ottawa, ON | |
|
Every time I've gone to this restaurant there's been
a substantial wait to get seated. Food is fine service is fine
location is fine... just don't rush over when you're
starving.

| Haveli Indian Restaurant | Ottawa, ON | |
|
My first visit featured a remarkable meal. From the Naan to the
Butter Chicken, everything was expertly prepared and spiced
according to our specifications. Although my companion mentioned
that service is usually efficient, I had to establish waitress
eye contact on a few occasions to improve the pace a bit. Still,
an excellent experience and the best Indian food I've tried
so far in Ottawa.

| Empire Grill | Ottawa, ON | |
|
Had an amazing time at the Empire Grill! Our steaks were absolutley
God-sent and the wine our server suggested became a favourite
that we now buy often!! Service was phenomenal! Love the funky
beats too!

| Elgin Street Diner | Ottawa, ON | |

| Zak's Diner | Ottawa, ON | |
|
Pretty standard food excellent portions (especially breakfast)
service and atmosphere. Whenever we're in Ottawa we always
plan a trip to Zak's.

| Kelsey's Restaurant | Ottawa, ON | |
|
I used to like them, but now the food is always undercooked ("cooked"
vegetables come almost raw) and the service is absolutely terrible.
Definitely not worth the price.

| Cathay Restaurants | Ottawa, ON | |
|
All the dishes on the buffet are very greasy and the MSG contents
is so high it made me feel dizzy, chinesse food is supposed to be
a healthier choice, Cathay is definitively not healthy!

| Ben-Ben Restaurant | Ottawa, ON | |
|
I've been to Ben Ben's at least 20 times. The food has
always been excellent every single time. The place is really
small and the ambiance is minimalist...but who cares the chinese
dishes are well prepared and the prices are low. Their lunch specials
are fantastic for the price. Forget about all those big chinese
restaurants this is the place to go.

Make sure you've got reservations or you could wait a while
(but then again it's worth the wait).

| Trattoria Italia Dining Lounge | Ottawa, ON | |
|
Trattoria Italia is very romantic or good for small groups of
people, the food is excellent, the atmosphere wonderful, a definite
must for all.

We had an excellent lunch here. Nice light salad (Italian), Lasagne,
and Canneloni. The desserts are superb, but definitely not a
weight watchers recommendation.

||
| Siam Bistro | Ottawa, ON | |
|
Food excellent, we had the spicy seafood with asparagus and vegetables
and a verrryyy smooth green curry vegetable. Service was quick
and efficient but not overly friendly. The only constructive
criticism I have is that the soup was way too salty!!!

| Fairouz | Ottawa, ON | |
|
Went here for my birthday with a friend and had a great time. The
service was couteous and friendly the food was great and the entertainment
from the belly dancer was mind-blowing. The food took awhile
to come. With the elegant charm of a French restaurant this place
truly shines as the best place to eat in Somerset Village and is
deserving of all the accolades it receives.

| Savana Cafe | Ottawa, ON | |
|
This is an absolutely wonderful restaurant. The ambiance is
warm and friendly the service is quick and non-bothersome. The
price is very reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant
to anyone!

| Mexicali Rosa's | Ottawa, ON | |
|
I've been there a few times and the seating is usually great,
the food is super and this service is great as well. Never had any
complaints. Great Margarita's, nachos, and salads.

| Pelican Grill | Ottawa, ON | |
|
Wonderful fish and seafood in a simple setting next to a fish shop.
Loved the calamari and variety of daily specials. Boiled veggies
are too plain, though; could use a herb butter jolt, for example.
Service friendly, good food value. I mean, a pasta special with
smoked salmon, shrimps and calamari was only $10.00! Not bad,
and very fresh.

| Nagina Indian Cuisine | Ottawa, ON | |
|
Every dining experience at Nagina combines warm atmosphere
with excellent service and exceptional cuisine. The hosts are
extremely warm and knowledgable about their menu and are able
to provide advice to patrons who are inexperienced with Indian
food. The restaurant boats large comfortable tables soft lighting
and soft Indian music and decor to enjoy while you wait and dine.

| Cafe Spiga | Ottawa, ON | |
|
I felt as though I was being rushed into ordering and rushed to
eat quickly and get out... Very serious waiter put a damper on
the romantic setting and great ambiance. The sambuca shrimp
was to die for. The Gnocchi was great as well but VERY filling

||
| Black Tomato | Ottawa, ON | |
|
Very interesting fusion menu. Great wine list. Good single malt
collection. You are able to buy ecceltic music (CD's) that
plays in the restaurant. For you Cider lovers...they serve Strongbow.
I love this place. Try the curry phylos bundles for an appetizer
