As far as authentic Mexican restaraunts go, Mazatlan is pretty good... and as far as Mazatlan restaraunts go (they are different because they are franchised) this location is the BEST! The food and service are both wonderful, and they have a wider selection than many other Mazatlan restaraunts.

Excellent food, excellent service. This location is usually slower than others, so it is a great place to grab a sub. They give students buy 1 get 1 free cards and honor the Subway club cards. I highly recomment stopping in.

This place is awful. Yes, they have a wide selection of food, but it's like eating in a high school cafeteria all over again. The Jello is melted because it's in the pan next to the turkey and all the food tastes like a TV dinner. It is a good price for all you can eat though.

Fast service and very fresh ingedients and lots of options. An excellent restaraunt.

Many breakfast options served all day. Great experience overall, though prices were a little steep. Great food.

As far as bars go, it is not the best around. There are several other quality establishments just around the corner that are not so dirty and have better music.

This place rocks. They serve the best Guiness off the tap!!! They even pour the head in the shape of a four-leaf clover! How cool is that! This is the only place you need to go on St. Patties day, and definately a place you should swing by every time you're out in Portland.

If you like dessert, you MUST go to Papa Haydn's. The have the best cheesecake.... mmmmm, cheesecake EVER! It is in an excellent location too! NW 23rd is a great place to see the life of Portland.

If you are vegetarian or vegan you should make an extra effort to visit the Sun Garden Cafe. Second only to a few restaraunts in Portland, they have the best vegetarian selections I have found throughout Oregon.

If Mo's is worth sitting in a car for several hours (and it is), it's certainly worth waiting in the restaraunt for 20 minutes to get a table. Their seafood is VERY good, and the prices are quite reasonable for what you get.

It might be hard to find a good authentic Mexican restaraunt on the coast, but Mazatlan proves it's not impossible. Their food is excellent and the service at this location was wonderful. I definately plan on returning very soon.
