| Krzysiak House | Bay City, MI | |
|
Hard place to find but very good food that really seems like homemade
meals. 1-2 of the items on the buffet were a little cold, but most
was steaming and tasty. The service was very good and it's
easy to stuff yourself silly. Lots of items to choose from and
my kids even said some of the entries reminded them of 'grandma's
cooking'.

| Old Country Buffet | Saginaw, MI | |
|
I think this place does very well for a buffet. I've always
had hot food and there is a huge huge variety, even for picky kids.
The hot fresh rolls are great. Good selection of meat, vegetables,
salads, deserts, etc. I've had to wait in line, but always
less than 5 minutes, and I think it was worth it, so I'll be
back there.

| Olive Garden | Saginaw, MI | |
|
Thank you Olive Garden! I love Italian food and I drive 30 miles
to get to this restaurant. Everything I've ever had off their
menu has been fantastic! It's almost too easy too feast on
the salad and breadsticks they bring out, but don't! You
absolutely want to taste and savor your meal. I know this is a chain
restaurant, but the only italian I've ever had that was better
was in a place in Houston. The food quality is consistent, and
the service has always been enjoyable. I've had so many good
meals in this restaurant, that if I ever had a bad experience,
I would count it as a 'fluke' and still go back.

| Bamboo Garden | Midland, MI | |
|
One of many Chinese restarants in Midland. Standard fare as far
as menu selections. I thought the food was good, but my wife left
the place and quickly commented that Pi's was better.

| Mancino's Pizza & Grinders | Midland, MI | |
|
Good food and a variety of selections. Go there and try the grinders
and you won't be disappointed. By the way the phone number
area code has changed to (989) instead of 517.

| El Azteco | Lansing, MI | |
|
I ate at his restaurant throughout my years at MSU. The food was
incredible and it was dirt cheap. I moved away for 14 years and
ate at many other Mexican eateries, but have always considered
El Azteco to be one of the best. Now I've been back there twice
and the food lived up to its reputation. It's a 90 mile drive,
but I'll be back there just for the food.

| Gaido's Seafood Restaurant | Galveston, TX | |
|
This is a great seafood restaurant with a great view of the Gulf.
I've been there many times over the course of 14 years and
the food was consistently outstanding. Of course, the average
entree price can be much higher than $15 if you'd like, but
it's also possible to go there for just salad and the wonderful
fresh-baked bread loaves they serve at the table.

| Landry's Seafood Inn & Oyster | Galveston, TX | |
|
Another excellent seafood choice if you're in Galveston.
This is a little harder to find since it's not downtown or
on the Seawall, but if you like good seafood, you won't be
disappointed. If you're waiting in line, check out the pictures
of all the famous people that have been there over the years.

| Rosario's Flying Pizza Italian Restaurant | Texas City, TX | |
|
I spent lots of travel time in Texas City. This is oe of the places
I went on a regular basis. The name sounds "corney"
, but the food was good and it was worth the trip.
