| Ercole Restaurante Italiano | Calgary, AB | |
|
I made reservations for 6:45 on a Saturday night so we could begin
our meal at 7:00. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant
at 6:35 (we were early). Background music, was so quiet, that
you were unable to hear it. What little art they displayed was
set so far away from my table, I couldn't see any of it. For
all I knew, sitting there with no music, I could have been anywhere.
So much for the great atmosphere. However the food was not to bad.

| Chili Club Thai House | Calgary, AB | |
|
My favourite thing about the Chili Club is that I once dined in
the Calgary location, then flew to the Vancouver location and
dined there. They truley are the "Authentic Thai Specialties, "
and that's exactly what I wanted. mmmmmm You cant beat its
authentic fresh coconut drink ingredients, recipes, and I ve
heard that the cooks are flown in from Thailand to assure a genuine
consistency. Top Resturant in my opinion.

I would highly recommend this resturant for those romantic dinners
or for impress-the-client type lunches. Reservations a must.
Bit pricey but then you pay for quality!

| Tony's Pizza & Lounge | Edmonton, AB | |
|
Tony's Pizza & Lounge is a Edmonton icon, there is always
a que but this rarely deters its loyal patrons. We decided to try
and avoid a que by arriving at about 5.00pm on a Sunday afternoon,
we soon realised that it doesn’t matter when you arrive you will
be greeted by a short wait to get a seat in this popular restaurant.
It only took five minutes and we were seated and promptly had our
order taken. My friend and I decided to share a large Pizza as this
is ample for two and our other friend ordered the a large Pepperoni
to himself which was a bit insane. The pepperoni pizza arrived
about 15 minutes later and was absolutely fantastic, it was crumbed
and had a beautiful hint of garlic. It was cooked to perfection
and was thoroughly enjoyed, unfortunately though on its own
as our pizza has been mistakenly given to another table. The staff
dealt with the mistake well; promptly bringing us some garlic
bread and when our pizza eventually arrived about 20 minutes
after the pepperoni it was, as always excellent. The pizza was
generously topped and was generous serve for two, excellent
value for money. It was a shame that we could not all enjoy our meals
together but these things happen and we would still return to
Tony's Pizza .

Overpriced, Overrated, and definitely not worthy of a second
visit. Avoid at all costs.

| Smitty's Pancake House | Calgary, AB | |
|
Not a bad place to dine for a cheap meal. The food was tastey and
the service was excellent. This is not the place you would take
your girl friend on a first date.

| Old Spaghetti Factory | Edmonton, AB | |
|
The Old Spaghetti Factory cuts no corners when making its Spaghetti.
Everything is made entirely from scratch. Everything. And all
the toppings are fresh. I have yet to find a spaghetti that compares
to The Old Spaghetti Factory's. And the sauce! *muah!*

| Carole's Cafe | Edmonton, AB | |
|
Maybe it was the day I chose to go there, or maybe it is just like
this at lunchtime, or maybe it is always like this, but I was not
impressed. The coffee was worse the service.

| Funky Pickle Pizza Co | Edmonton, AB | |
|
You can always count on the Funky Pickle Pizza Co to serve you pizza
at ridiculous hours after a night on the city. Could be a bit cleaner
but then again where else can you go at 4:00 am in the morning!

| Yiannis Taverna Restaurnat | Edmonton, AB | |
|
This place is unbelievable. If you want to impress your girlfriend
with a classy night out, then this is the place to go. I love the
style and the character about this place. As Arnold would say,
“I‘ll be back.”

| Chianti Cafe & Restaurant | Edmonton, AB | |
|
The pasta was great but the service has room for improvement.
Mabey someone died cause the atmosphere was terrible. It looked
like no one wanted to be there but then again was really cold that
day. Give it a miss.

Wow, this place is full of style with exceptional service and

| Dallas Pizza & Steak House | Edmonton, AB | |
|
I am very fussy when it comes to my steaks medium-to-rare is how
I like it. It took them 3 attempts to get it right but when they did,
boy was it good. Staff were very helpful and not at all rude, overall
good service and friendly staff.

| Doyle's Pub | Edmonton, AB | |
|
I must of been there at the wrong time because I saw a fight just
outside the bar so I was a bit resevered when I entered. I was pleased
to find a friendly relaxed atmosphere and I wasnt going to let
some yobbos ruin my evening. Top pub and I would recommend it was
a watering hole.

||
| Chicken Variety Fast Food Two | Edmonton, AB | |
|
This place wasn’t much of a treat compared to Australian chicken
restaurants, however the fries are the best I‘ve ever tasted
and that has justified my return on several occasions. What’s
their secret?

| Famous Steak & Pizza Rstrnt | Edmonton, AB | |
|
The one thing I enjoyed was the salad. It was much better than I
expected for a pizza place. What I mean is that I expected lettuce
and a few vegetables, but they had lots of vegetables and some
potatoe and macaroni salads as well. This is a true display of
Canadian culture.
