| Popeye's Chicken | Paris, TX | |
|
This is the BEST place in Paris for chicken in my opinion!
Their food is always fresh, the people are always friendly, the
service is always fast. The prices are great too, they are always
running some kind of special and you can usually get a family size
box of chicken and sides for around $12-15. The chicken also has
a great flavor which is important to me, and it is juicy and not
dry like some other places that I have tried a few times here in
Paris.

| Rocking W Barbecue | Paris, TX | |
|
I don't give this one a high rating because as far as barbeque it
is average, nothing spectacular. I have tasted better. If you
are hungry and are in the neighborhood, they are okay. Their prices
are not competetive, and in my opinion, they are much too proud
of their food (at least they think it's spectacular). As far as
barbeque goes, it's barbeque.

| China Star | Paris, TX | |
|
They have been in Paris for years, have changed owners a few times
but the food just keep getting better and better!
They have an all-you-can-eat buffet that is out-of-this-world,
and the service is wonderful :o)
They also have a salad and dessert bar (with ice cream)
I highly recommend this restaraunt to anyone that likes Chinese
food, you WON'T be disappointed.

| Furr's Family Dining | Paris, TX | |
|
Furr's has great food for a great price. You pay a set price and
go through a line and pick out whatever you want to eat from a variety
of fresh cooked foods. The menus change daily. This particular
Furr's I have eaten at numerous times and have enjoyed each time,
the food has always been hot and fresh, the servers have been friendly,
and the waiters, once I have been at my table have always checked
on me to see if I needed anything else. It is also a nice relaxed
atmosphere that you could take your family to. A lot of times they
run specials that are targeted around children.

| Domino's Pizza | Paris, TX | |
|
I would have given them a better rating but their service has somewhat
declined over the past year or so. The pizzas sometimes are not
getting cooked all the way (doughy), sometimes the toppings
are not correct. The one main thing that is aggrevating now is
the fact that they are literally charging for their parmesan
and crushed red pepper packets that they used to send out with
their pizzas, how cheap can you get? That doesn't show much customer
appreciation to me when there is so much competition nowdays.

| Catfish King Restaurant | Paris, TX | |
|
Fast, friendly service. Very good food. Good prices. There are
only two places here that serve catfish and they are the only one
that has a price range that most people can afford and still serve
a good portion for what you pay.

||
| Fish Fry | Paris, TX | |
|
The food is good, but the prices for the portions is outrageous.
If you dine in and get the all-you-can-eat catfish, then you will
get your money's worth, but when you just order the catfish plate
(take-out) you might just get three or four nugget/fillets and
it's not worth the high prices. I would not recommend the shrimp,
it's tough. You really should make reservations or you might
be in for quite a wait and chaos. The waitresses are pleasant.

| Imperial China | Paris, TX | |
|
Have you ever eaten at a Chinese/Mandrin restaraunt where everything
had a TWANG to it? I have been here twice and I couldn't tell which
food was which because it all had this awful twist to it. This restaraunt
itself was filthy, the walls looked like they hadn't been cleaned
in years. Haven't been back since. I wouldn't recommend this
place, might make someone ill.

| Lance's Sunriser | Paris, TX | |
|
Looks better from the outside. When I went inside I was shocked
at how small it was inside. The food was okay, nothing to brag about.
The waitresses hung around the bar area with the men smoking and
telling them their woes in between serving customers.
I wasn't impressed much. This would be more of a coffee shop for
truck drivers and local coffee drinkers' hang out.

| Mc Kee's 24 Hour Family Rstrnt | Paris, TX | |
|
Opened about ten years ago. Was a lot nicer when it first opened.
The food is pretty good. Now more of a coffee house type atmosphere,
you can get breakfast, lunch, dinner any time of the day. Sometimes,
when they are crowded service can be a little slow, but I guess
that is with any restaraunt. Nothing fancy, but a good place to
eat with fair prices and open 24 hours.

| Mikes B-B-Q | Paris, TX | |
|
Little tiny building...if you blink you might miss it! They say
dynamite comes in small packages. This place is take out only,
but they do have a picnic table out front if you want to eat it there.
The food is really good and the prices are great. The only drawback
is that they are on the outskirts of town, but who blames them.

| Ta Molly's Mexican Restaurant | Paris, TX | |
|
Food is great. Another national chain restaraunt opened real
close to it and within 9 months it was put out of business by TaMollys.
They stay pretty busy. During peak meal hours be expected to wait
a while. Always call ahead for take out.

| Taco Delite | Paris, TX | |
|
I didn't find their food that great. I have heard their cokes are
good, although I have not tried them. I was disappointed with
their service as well.

| Ward's Sunriser | Paris, TX | |
|
Actual address 2655 Clarksville Street, across from Paris Junior
College. They have good food and good service. They are usually
busy with local people. They also have daily specials. They manager
is friendly and likes to mingle with the customers and make sure
everyone is happy. This is a laid back atmosphere and would be
a place to just have coffee, lunch with friends, or dinner with
the family.
|
||
| Milano's Pizza | Clarksville, TX | |
|
They use fresh ingredients. Their cheesey bread is very good.
Delivery drivers are courteous. I would recommend this place.
|
||
| Smokehouse II | Gainesville, TX | |
|
They have been around for a long time and their food is excellent.
I have eaten there since I was a youth. If you ever go that way I would
recommend stopping by there, they are really good!

||
| Taco Casa | Gainesville, TX | |
|
I LOVE this place!! The high school in Gainesvill is my alma mater
and this is one of my old lunch hang outs. I am so glad it is still
there. Any time I go that way to visit friends/family I have to
stop by there and eat because I love their food so much. I am always
amazed at how much it changes inside over the years, but the food
and service is always great!

||
| Main Street Pub | Gainesville, TX | |
|
The food is great and so is the atmosphere. Kind of a bar & grill
atmosphere in a small town that doesn't have the franchises.
This is privately owned so they take more pride in it. I really
enjoy spending time just kicking back and relaxing with friends
for the afternoon here.

||
| Arby's | Mesquite, TX | |
|
The food is good, the prices are good. This is a busy store and I
think they should have more help for these poor people because
they are too stressed out and therefore cannot focus enough on
the customer...it's kind of more a ritualistic order taking
process, but it's cheap fast food, so I'm not going to complain.
|
||
| Lone Oak Cafe | Mesquite, TX | |
|
I would say the prices are good, and the service is good, but the
place is not the cleanest. They really need to improve on their
hygiene before I would eat there again.
