| China Buffet | Charleston, WV | |
|
I really didn't like this place very much. Their buffet is
standard stuff, but not particulary good variations of the standard
stuff. They do have exceptionally good cheese wontons, but beyond
that, I don't find their food very appitizing.

| Joe Fazios | Charleston, WV | |
|
The prices at this place are ridiculous. They wat to be a really
decent restaurant, and the food just doesn't bare them out...paying
their asking price for a meal is, by no means, out of the question,
but paying it for barely decent pasta and sauce (far too sweet,
the sauce) is outragous.

| Papa Johns | Charleston, WV | |
|
I'm cofused about the reviews this place is getting...it's
just pizza, you're standard take-out pizza, and not particularly
good take-out pizza, at that...doughy crust, and sauce that's
too sweet...not that good, really.

| Tudor's | Charleston, WV | |
|
I've only been there once, but had a really good meal, with
excellent, friendly, and fast service, and thier menu offered
a really decent variety.

| Char House | Charleston, WV | |
|
I got conned into going here for luch...and I'll not return.
This place is the poster-boy for all of us who can't tollerate
buffets. The food is terrible, and their's nothing else
the place has to offer to possible make up for that fact.

||
| General Seafood | Charleston, WV | |
|
You can.t quite tell if the delapitated boat decor is intentional
or just real...the service here is good, the food...well, average.
Their seafood is hit or miss, I've had both very good and very
poor versions of the same menu item.

| Fifth Quarter Steakhouse | Charleston, WV | |
|
I've gone there...well, too many times really, before I discovered that they couldn't properly cook a steak to order to save...well, to save the restaurant, I guess.

||
| Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar | Charleston, WV | |
|
I went to this place twice...twice they got my order wrong. Once
they turned a chicken salad into a chicken sandwich, and once
they turned a shrimp salad into a chicken salad...the same one
I wanted the first time...I'm convinced now, that no matter
what I order when I go back, that what I'll actually get is
that shrimp salad.

| Red Lobster | Parkersburg, WV | |
|
Yes, it's just a chain...but I've been in WV for a while,
and for some reason, there are very few of these in the state...and
I miss them...their dinner roles are so good, and their seafood
is always good...I try to only go on all you can eat crab nights
(for reasons that I shouldn't have to explain). I love their
shrimp scampy as well.

||
| Sheetzs | Morgantown, WV | |
|
This place, I almost hate to say, makes some of the best burgers
I've ever had...their made to order, and they are really
so very good. They have several sauces there that you wouldn't
generally think to but on a burger, but take the plunge, your slightest
notion that it might be good will generally prove to be true.

||
| Hibachi Japanese Steak House | Huntington, WV | |
|
Like many other of the chain across the state, this is a pretty
good plce for Japanese food; not too authentic, but their sushi
(and particularly their California rolls) are the best you can
find around.
|
||
| Frostop Drive Inn | Huntington, WV | |
|
A great place if you don't really want to dine, but would rather
just like to get a bite (if you follow). Their hot dogs are really
good, and they should be mass-marketing the root beer.
|
||
| Stewarts Original Hot Dogs | Huntington, WV | |
|
This place is good, but it would be better if Frostop wasn't
in town...'cause this place (the dogs, the service) is good,
but not quite as good...
|
||
| Bob Evans Farms Restaurant | Huntington, WV | |
|
I understand that they sere more than simply breakfast here,
but I can't brig myself to (and I dare say anyone would be a
fool to) go with anything but their breakfasts when stopping
here. Their's a real home-made quality to thier breakfasts,
big portions, and the sausage is just out of this world.
|
||
| Nawab Indian Cuisine | Huntington, WV | |
|
I've never been particularly fond of Indian food (and admittedly,
this place hasn't changed my mind) but I have had several
really good dinners here. The hot dishes are really hot (it's
authentic on that front) so those not familiar with Indian food
may want to be warned.
|
||
| Chili Willi's Mexican Cantina | Huntington, WV | |
|
I have real qualms with anyone calling this "authentic"
Mexican, it's not...much more a TexMex fair. Most entres
are pretty good, all the same. I was disappointed in their chili,
I really wanted to like it more than I did...it's good, don't
get me wrong, but my quest for really top-notch, outstanding
chili continues...

| Bw3s | Huntington, WV | |
|
There's not a better place for miles and miles to spend a night
with beer and wings. Their buffalo sauce is really good, and their
garlic wings are great (they have a wide selection of sauces,
but the die hards know those two touchstones are all that are really
required). The trivia there wonderfully completes the evening.

||
| Savannah's Restaurant | Huntington, WV | |
|
This is a very nice place for a formal dinner. They have a excelent
wine selection, a good list of specials (I had a trout dsh here
that was out of this world) and the atmosphere and wait staff are
both excellent.
|
||
| 20th Street Bar & Grill | Huntington, WV | |
|
A nice bar atmosphere with friendly, attentive staff and good
sandwiches and bar-style food on their menu. It can be loud and
crowded at times, but otherwise, and good place to hang out.
|
||
| Magic Wok | Huntington, WV | |
|
This place has considerably fewer items in its buffet than most
plases of the type. Those they have are not that good, either.
It's a small place with little charm.
