Carrillo's Cafe Las Cruces, NM
We've been dining at Carrillo's Cafe for over twenty years, and not once have we had a bad meal at the cafe! The only drawback is they do not serve beer and wine. This tucked away place behind the Pick Quick on Amador on the north side of the building serves awesome Mexican Food along with some delicious American dishes as well. Though the establishment is narrow, and in need of a remodel, it's comfortable, CLEAN, the service is good, and the prices are very reasonable! The owner, David Carrillo, makes some of the best green enchiladas in Las Cruces, along with his tacos, rellenos, chile con carne, and hamburgers! Yup, his green chile cheese burger is one of the best in New Mexico! Everything on the menu is made from scratch and made when you order it! The chili con-queso is superb; be sure to request either a small or large one once the waiter brings your complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is good, but even better if you take some home and eat it the next day! The tortilla chips are the traditional New Mexican chip, and made fresh daily! They are not greasy nor over salted. One of the best things about Carrillo's outside of the food is that you can add or change an item for another selection on any dish David prepares. So if you don't want beans you can add rice instead, don't want fries? Add a chile relleno instead, and smother it with David's chile con queso! Out of all of the Mexican Food restaurants in Las Cruces, Carrillo's Cafe is one of the top five in my opinion and many others as well!
New China Super Buffet Las Cruces, NM
Not a bad buffet by any-means. The establishment is typical for a Chinese buffet. The booths are uncomfortable, and the restrooms are discusting! Makes you wonder...but the food is good, the buffet is clean, and the service is good!
Billy Crews Dining Room Santa Teresa, NM
My company has had three Christmas parties here. My rating remains the same. EXCELLENT!
Lorenzo's Pizza & Pasta Mesilla, NM
They have moved but they are are still by Mesilla! Cute restaurant, nice, clean, excellent service, rather close seating, but the food is outstanding, and the establishment is new! We loved it!
Little Nelle's Chile Factory Las Cruces, NM
This establishment is CLOSED. Nelle's remains open in a different location, but there is no affiliation to Little Nelle's Chile Factory any longer.
Nellie's Las Cruces, NM
My opnion has changed and I find Nellie's to be a good place for Mexican foo. The only thing I do not care for are the tacos. Great service, and good food!
Carl's Jr Restaurant Las Cruces, NM
Rather pricey but very good food. Clean establishment, personnel about average.
Billy Crews Dining Room Santa Teresa, NM
My company had their annual Christmas party here. The establishment is a bit hard to find because their sign isn't very big, but what a delightful place to dine. Excellent steak, and their twice stuffed baked potatoes are removed from the whole shell and reinserted back into the shell. DELICIOUS! The establishment was clean, wait staff friendly, and their food was superb!
Socorro Springs Brewing Company Socorro, NM
What a delightful establishment! Nice and rustic! I understand they are building a new restaurant check their web site: http://www.socorrosprings.com/ The home brew is delicious, and their food was also superb! Our party had pizza and sandwiches. Unfortunately, they did not have what I wanted to order that day (roast beef sandwich). Everything was delicious and piping hot the way food should be served. I was very impressed with this establishment.
Red Mountain Cafe Las Cruces, NM
I recently went to the establishment (November 2004) for lunch with some business associates. The food was quite good, though the establishment was small and packed. They have fairly new owners who have been revamping the menu etc. Not bad at all!
Garduno's of Mexico Albuquerque, NM
Blah, blah, blah. Gringo style mexican food. If you want real Mexican Food, come down south to Las Cruces. The atmosphere is the only thing going for this place. Good tourist stop especially for those who don't have a clue what chile is all about. There is a Garduno's in Las Cruces (est 2004). I haven't even bothered to go because it can't be any different than the Albuquerque establishments.
Blake's Lottaburger Rio Rancho, NM
Blake’s is an excellent, consistent, clean, reliable hamburger establishment. Throughout New Mexico, Blake’s serves up delicious made to order hamburgers. I suggest double meat as their patties are a bit small. Green chile cheese is sure to please! Made to order, fresh food! The fries are crispy good and they have hotdogs! Even the ketchup tastes like no other ketchup around. Well worth the wait!

Si Senor Las Cruces, NM
I recently returned and dined at Si Senor's and I was more impressed this time and my previous visit! The chile was superb, the four dips excellent, and FREE sopapillas at the end of the meal! Somewhat pricey, but delicious!
Furr's Family Dining Hobbs, NM
In a day and time when the cafeteria is a rare find, this one in Hobbs was very well managed, the food was good, the establishment clean, and the wait staff friendly and accommodating. Great selection, great prices!
Gardunos Las Cruces, NM
Gardunos is for the non-native-New Mexican i.e., tourist or someone who's never lived in Southern New Mexico. Sorry guys, this is Americanized Mexican Food (this stuff is made in San Antonio?) and simply doesn't match up to the truely authentic Mexican Food available throughout the state.
Jack in the Box Las Cruces, NM
Typical Jack in the Box, but delicious fast food! I have never had any problems with this establishment.
