Absolutely the best meal we've eaten in the Newport area over the last year! The meal was presented well, the portions were perfect, and the food was fantastic. However, the service was the worst I have ever seen, even compared to fast food and truck stops. We watched the service staff continuously ignore customers at the surrounding seven tables as they became more and more frustrated with the way their evening was turning out. Our recommendation: By all means, go to the White Horse Tavern, the food is excellent, but bring your own bread and wine, and don't make any other plans for the evening because you will never make it out on time. Food - 5 stars / Service - 1 star.
