Best BBQ in Eastern FTL....watch out during lunch hours, the business crowd makes it pretty hard to get in and out in a reasonable amount of time.

A great place to grab a burger or some wings and beer with your friends. One of the only "real" food places open to eat late, until 2 AM on some days!

The pastas are not the greatest, but the subs are pretty good and really cheap (comparatively), but like any other delivery place, it can take a long while sometimes.

The location isn't the best (Blockbuster gives such great ambiance, I know) but the sashimi is pretty good. The prices aren't too hot, however. For straight-up sushi, though, Dragonfly is by far the best in Gainesville.

This pizza place across the street from the University of Florida is truly a godsend for poor college students like myself. For only $4.25 you can get two slices of some of the best NY-style cheese pizza outside of NYC itself, and a drink to boot. And for only another $.75, you can get 3 of their great garlic butter rolls. Also of interest are the slices-of-the-day...always a great bargain and usually pretty good.

Excellent Italian restaurant from the people who brought you Leonardo's by the Slice....a little on the pricey side, however. Pastas are great!

Your average over-priced family chain restaurant. The honey rolls are good though, and the beer is usually excellent.

I only get the chili in a bread bowl when I'm there...the potatoes are good, but the chili is excellent (and cheap).

Every time I eat at this place (which isn't all that much now) I get sick. Maybe that's just me, but approach with caution.

Food is great, atmosphere is good...if you're a frat boy. Fun to sit outside in the fall, when the weather isn't so hot, but try getting into there on a Friday night...good luck.

Definitely the best cheap BBQ restaurant in Gville (though it is a little far north)...try the sandwich plates, you won't be disappointed.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Gainesville, but a little pricey. They do deliver kind of late, so I won't complain...try the General Tso's chicken.

Great cheap subs and burgers...looks like a dump, but inside is neat and hey, it's eats. Eat at Joe's!

The one and only time I ate there, the beef tasted rather like iodiney rubber. I wouldn't bother...there are better restaurants close by.

Most excellent cheap burritos...a Gainesville landmark, and a must visit when you're in town. *Note- avoid BB if you're in a hurry and it's early afternoon when school's in session...the lines can stretch out the door.

Average chain Italian...pricey as well. Pizzas aren't bad, but too expensive for what they are.

Average Chinese restaurant...buffet is nice, but nothing here that makes me want to deviate from my normal Chinese places

A close second to Jade Gardens for my fav. Chinese restaurant, but who wants to go to #2 when #1 is two blocks north?

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Gainesville, the menu is innovative and fresh, and the prix fixe is a nice touch.
