| Michaelangelo's | Kailua Kona, HI | |
|
This place has gone thru so many hands that it can't decide
what kind of restauant to be. Always a "new" waiter,
this place is more of a nite spot for the 21-215 crowd, food is average,
drinks a little pricey, but it can be fun depending on who youre
with, cant beat the view or location.

kona! a pretty average denny's they're all the same,
except this one does have a killer icecream counter at the front

| Kona Ranch House Restaurant | Kailua Kona, HI | |
|
Isn't this place out of business? They HAD a great inexpensive
breakfast, but I'm pretty sure this place folded.

| Verna's IV In Kona | Kailua Kona, HI | |
|
The one's in Hilo are better, they serve an okay plate lunch,
but sometimes it's cold, and old looking.. usually a last
resort

| Kona Galley Restaurant | Kailua Kona, HI | |
|
this place is HIGHLY underrated, not too many people notice it
as it is an upstairs restaurant, but they have awesome lunch specials,
pizzas to die for and really excellent food.

| Royal Jade Garden Chinese | Kailua Kona, HI | |
|
Not too sure about this place, it is always packed but a few years
back they did a story in the local paper about the chefs pulling
lettuce from the dumpsters behind sac-n-save to use in the food,
and ever since then, I just can't eat there.

| Sibu Cafe | Kailua Kona, HI | |
|
hard to find, worth the search, this cozy SMALL place is always
packed and always has great reviews for their eclectic menu,
off the beaten path kinda yummy food. And their waitress with
the accent, ANNA, is the sweetest you'll ever meet!

| Ono Hawaiian Foods | Honolulu, HI | |
|
famous state wide for their plate luches and for good reason,
they're ONO!!!! very quick service, scrumptious food,
mac salad is to die for!

| Duke's Restaurant & Canoe Club | Honolulu, HI | |
|
You just HAVEN"T visited Hawaii, until you've been
to Duke's... very tourist oriented, gives a good representation
of what all of Hawaii SHOULD be like, and how most people have in
their minds that hawaii IS, great food, nice staff, all young
cute little college/highschool kids that personify the "islands"
|
||
| Volcano House | Hawaii National Park, HI | |
|
a must see, mostly because of it's "mystical"
location, nice for a romantic dinner, so exotically placed that
you can imagine that you feel the heat form the glowing distant
lava
|
||
| Manago Hotel | Captain Cook, HI | |
|
famous for thier pork chops, which are about the only thing to
have here. OLD diner style, outdated decor, the service leaves
something to be desired. owners are only nice to you if you are
old and asian
|
||
| Mauna Lani Bay Hotel | Kapaau, HI | |
|
great if you're independently wealthy or just won a state
lottery, otherwise, highly overpriced when you can get the same
if not better at Roy's!
|
||
| Mrs Olsons Coffee Hut | Oxnard, CA | |
|
very local retaurant, on any given day if you go inand listen,
you'll hear the waitresses call most customer's by
name. Very cozy, the way a beachside restaurant in Cali should
be...awesome breakfast!
|
||
| Elephant Bar Restaurant | San Diego, CA | |
|
very average cookie cutter type restaurant, don't these
people have ANY imagination?
|
||
| Pizza Port / Solana Beach Brewery | Solana Beach, CA | |
|
great pizza, better beer, like a microbrewery, very cool decor,
but lots of families, kinda like chuck e cheese!!
|
||
| Chris' & Pitt's Restaurant | Bellflower, CA | |
|
I still enjoy this tried and true rib joint, you gets alot of bang
for your buck and the waitresses are usually like "Flo"
from that sitcom Alice, funny and ready to talk. No hard alcohol,
although they do have beer, nice meat and potatoes place.

||
| Elephant Bar & Restaurant | Ventura, CA | |
|
I think that this place is a kinda "cookie cutter"
restaurant, trying to appeal to the younger crowd, the decor
is very Olive Garden, the food is pretty much like "chili's",
all around pretty average. Usually crowded, lots of families
so get ready to hear kids running around.
|
||
| Outback Steakhouse | Lakewood, CA | |
|
Very commercial, they give you alot of food but you pay the price.
Great if you're on the Atkins diet.

||
| Chili By Max | Kailua Kona, HI | |
|
Lucky for us that we can go to the store and buy the Chili by Max seasoning
packets and do this at home now, only because the place is very
small, and no one would be able to sit to eat, this place is usually
packed...awesome flavor chili, definitely a place to go back
to every week.

||
| Edward's At Kanaloa | Kailua Kona, HI | |
|
this place is a wonderful small intimate outdoor dining experience!
On the water in Keauhou, this place may be hard to find, it's
at the pool in the condo's of kanaloa... but it's well
worth the search. service is excellent, edward is a sweetheart,
and a genius in the kitchen. great place for a marriage proposal!
