| Ninety-Nine | Dover, NH | |
|
Fast, friendly service and excellent food. This is the best Ninety-Nine
I've been in. Their current $9.99 special of Sirloin tips and Chicken
strips is excellent. Five good sized tips and 5 or 6 chicken strips plus
fries. Had the tips rare and they were outstanding.

| Charlie's Pizza | Rochester, NH | |
|
Decent pizza at a decent price. It's good, but not outstanding.
Don't eat in on a hot day. They have one air conditioner and it doesn't
do the job.

| Wendy's | Durham, NH | |
|
Have only stopped here once - and probably the last time. Service was
horribly slow even though there were only a few customers. Cashier
messed up our order to boot! Burger I had was barely lukewarm. Roll was
stone cold. Overall, a bad experience.

| Village Pizza | Rochester, NH | |
|
Great tasting pizza, especially if you like a huge layer of cheese.
Thin to medium crust - very good. Pizzas are large with excellent taste.
Most cheese I've ever seen on a pizza.

THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED.

| Airport Diner | Manchester, NH | |
|
Great restaurant with a fairly extensive menu. Breakfast all day;
sandwiches plus lunch and dinner entrees at reasonable prices. Very
friendly and accommodating employees. This is a 50's style diner
attached to the Holiday Inn, but not owned or operated by the Holiday
Inn. It's owned and operated by the owners of the Common Man restaurants.
Had a great Reuben here for about $6. Stopped there on the way back from
the Manchester Airport (it's a couple of miles down the road) on
a Saturday evening and the place was mobbed.

| Rusty Hammer | Portsmouth, NH | |
|
I gave the Rusty Hammer another try. It was a bad experience. Service
was horribly slow even though the place was just about empty. When we
finally got our meals, none of them were hot; some were too cold to eat.
The overpriced $8 burgers were "OK", but nothing to write
home about. The fish nuggets are terrible, especially for a place right
along the coast - overcooked and dry. Onion rings similarly were way,
way overcooked. It also took forever to get our check. This place simply
isn't worth going in to for any reason.

| Castaways Boathouse | Dover, NH | |
|
A decent "shack" type restaurant. Typical seafood, pasta,
beef entrees plus burgers, sandwiches and salads. It's "OK"
but nothing special.

| Petey's Summertime Seafood | Rye, NH | |
|
Absolutely excellent seafood. A little on the pricey side, but the
quality is excellent and the portions are huge. It's always crowded,
so get there early.

| Strafford Farms Restaurant | Dover, NH | |
|
I've only eaten breakfast at Strafford Farms. But that was enough
to keep me away in the future. The fired eggs were so-so; but the home
fries were the pits. They tasted like they were deep fried a few days
before and heated up in a microwave. Seriously, I have never had home
fries as bad as these. There was simply nothing good about the breakfast,
the service, the atmosphere or the prices. Everything was just sort
of "blah".

| Newick's Seafood Restaurant | Dover, NH | |
|
Well, we gave Newick's another try. It didn't make it. Newick's
used to be the premier place for seafood in the seacoast area. Portions
were huge, prices were low and the food was excellent. Portions are
now skimpy, prices are high and the food has gone way downhill. Several
of us has various fried foods - shrimp, onion rings, clams, haddock,
etc. the batter was horrible. It had the look, taste and consistency
of paste - gummy and dense. The seafood itself tasted only fair. There
are a lot better places in this area for seafood - try Windjammers in
Rochester, Weathervane in Dover, Petey's in Rye or Johnson's
in New Durham. Just don't waste your money at Newick's.

| Fat Tony's Italian Grill | Rochester, NH | |
|
Avoid this place if you want a decent meal. They call themselves an Italian
restaurant, but its a far cry from even the most mediocre Italian restaurant.
The menu of so-called Italian food is limited and what there is, is terrible.
We had seafood and pasta dishes. The seafood tasted like it was frozen,
cooked a few days before and reheated in a microwave to the point where
it was dried out. How you manage to dry out shrimp to the point where it
tastes like sawdust is beyond me. The menu selections are expensive
and the portions not that great. They cover the tablecloths with a white
kraft-type paper that sure doesn't do much for the atmosphere.

| Jw Hills Sports Bar & Grill | Manchester, NH | |
|
Very popular place with a decent menu, decent prices and a large selection
of beers. Fairly close to the Verizon Arena and a good place for a meal
before the event.

||
| Applebee's | Epping, NH | |
|
Very friendly staff; good food, prepared well; reasonable prices.
|
||
| Veanos | Concord, NH | |
|
Have only had the lunch special roast beef sandwich here. It is delicious
and the cole slaw is outstanding. It's a very popular item and I
would recoimmend it to anyone.

| Little Miss Sophie's | Farmington, NH | |
|
A nice family restaurant with a good menu. Good food at reasonable prices.
It's always busy, which says a lot.
|
||
| Great Buffet Ii | Newington, NH | |
|
Outstanding Chinese/American Buffet with over 200 items daily. Among
some of the more unusual items you don't find at a buffet are frog
legs, king crab legs, oysters and clams on the half shell, crawfish,
all kinds of sushi. The day we were there you could add a steamed lobster
for just $1.99 more. Weekday price is $11.99; Friday and Saturday $13.99,
Sunday and holidays $11.99. It's a greatr deal if you like to eat.

| Tgi Fridays | Woodbridge, NJ | |
|
Garbage food! Greasy, burned fried food. Absolutely the worst fried
food I've ever seen served in a restaurant. It was absolutely gross
and disgusting. WSill never eat at Friday's again.

| South Main Street Pizza | Farmington, NH | |
|
Your typical preformed crust pizza place with sandwiches, bagged
chips, and one BIG exception. The emplyees here will handle money,
clean off tables, etc. and then go back to making your sub with no gloves
and without washing their hands - YUK! The place is never busy - I can
see why.
