This is a wonderful steak house to go to when you're in Houston.
I've been there several times and they have always been consistetly
good. The restaurant is very large but the way they have it arranged
you don't feel like you're in a large place. With the salad
bar and the bread they serve in buffet type style and picking out your
own steak, you can't go away hungry. The steaks are delicous.

| Gaido's Seafood Restaurant | Galveston, TX | |
|
Truly a very good seafood restaurant in Galveston. Went there with
a large crowd (12 of us) and the service was excellent. One of our group
was celebrating a birthday and they gave us a tray of all the desserts
at no charge--how's that for hospitality. All the seafood dishes
were great and everyone enjoyed their meal.

| Don's Seafood & Steak House | Baton Rouge, LA | |
|
Don's is a stable seafood restaurant in the area but there are better
now. They still serve one of the best seafood gumbos and they do have
a good lunch menu with reasonable prices.

| Dons | Louisiana | |
|
Don's is a chain of the Landry family. They have several locations
around Louisiana. This one is run by Mike Landry and he is always there
to make sure his customers are well taken care of. The food is consistent.
The lunch menu is reasonable priced and the seafood gumbo is the best
in the state. I frequently purchase a quart of gumbo to take home and
it's full of shrimp and crab with that rick dark brown gumbo. Delicious!!

| Romano Macaroni Grill | Baton Rouge, LA | |
|
Overall, a good experience. The place can be a little noisy with all
the business they receive. There is usually one waiter that sings an
Italian song to a table and she/he is very good. The menu has a wide variety
of Italian food that should please everyone. I especially like making
my own pasta dish by picking my ingredients, sauce, meat, pasta type
etc. Good experience.

| Lambert's Cafe III | Foley, AL | |
|
If you're hungry and want to fill up fast with average food, go to
Lamberts. The past arounds along will fill you up quickly and of course,
the "thrown" rolls add to the entertainment value.

| De Angelo's Pizzeria Co | Baton Rouge, LA | |
|
I've eaten at many of their locations from Baton Rouge to Covington
and they have always been consistently good. Great calzones and pizza.
Very friendly staff eager to please.

| Friends | Madisonville, LA | |
|
I have visited this restaurant several time before they opened again
after the hurricane. The food was good and the service was good. My wife
and I went this past weekend. The 20 minute wait the young girl at the
front told us turned into 1 hour and 20 minutes. Upon seating, it took
a while to get served. The seafood gumbo looked and tasted like dishwater
and had only a few pieces of shrimp in it. We sent it back. The rest of the
meal was nothing to write home to. The management told us that they were
overwhelmed with people and understaffed. On a Labor Day weekend,
you would think they would either make sure they had the right staff
or close!!

| Savoie's La Cooking | Houma, LA | |
|
This restaurant has been in Houma for a long time and the locals love
it, for good reason. They have a wonderful lunch menu with a lot of good
home cooking. They're not fancy but they are consistent. They
have an excellent seafood gumbo and shrimp salad. The wait staff is
very pleasant and the owners are always there to greet each guest. Highly
recommend!!

| Cracker Barrel Old Country Store | Hammond, IN | |
|
Nothing really special about this restaurant chain. They serve breakfast
all the time. Food is fairly consistent but they are better places to
eat breakfast. The attraction seems to be the large gift area and closeness
to interstate more than the food quality.

| Catfish Charlies | Hammond, LA | |
|
I'd have to agree with some of the last reviewers. This place has
definitely went down in quality. Ate there last week and the food was
marginal. The fish seemed to have been fried in old grease and the price
increase isn't justified. This is suppose to be an ALL YOU CAN EAT
place but when you ask for more fish or chicken, they may bring you only
1 or two pieces back!!! Won't be back for a while!!

| The Broken Egg Cafe | Mandeville, LA | |
|
I love this place for breakfast and I travel 50 miles to get there. YOu
can call and put your name on the list before you go and be seated when
you get there. All the breakfast entrees are great and the basket of
homemade biscuits with jelly, honey and frest fruit makes a hungry
boy happy. Highly recommended.

| Soop's Seafood & Steak House | Maurice, LA | |
|
This is a family owned restaurant and a traditionally eating place
in Maurice. The gumbo is the dark brown traditional type that all us
Cajuns love. All the seafood is great and the wait staff is very friendly
and eager to please. Highly recommend!!

| Prejeans | Lafayette, LA | |
|
Prejeans is a MUST stop for everyone that likes seafood. They have all
the tradtional fish, shrimp, oysters dishes as well as alligator and
other wild game dishes. They can be very busy so get there early. Highly
recommended!!!

| T J Ribs | Baton Rouge, LA | |
|
Some of the best bbq ribs I've ever had. Wait staff was extremely
attentive and the atmosphere was great. Went with a large party and
all our orders were done very well. Highly recommended!!

||
| Mike Anderson's Seafood Rstrnt | Baton Rouge, LA | |
|
The food here is very good but the wait to get a table particularly at
dinner can be very long--some may not think it's worth it. Best
time to come is at lunch. The crowd is less and the food is just as good.
Hefty portions. Highly recommend!!

| Mansur's Restaurant | Baton Rouge, LA | |
|
Excellent place to have a romantic dinner with your spouse. Everything
on the menu is great. The lobster bisque is superb and they have a very
good wine list. Highly recommended!!

| Drusilla Seafood Rest. | Baton Rouge, LA | |
|
Very nice place to bring a group of friends. Very diverse menu. The seafood
platter is huge and they even have a grilled platter for those watching
their calories. Highly recommended!!

| De Angelo's Pizzeria Co | Baton Rouge, LA | |
|
This is my son's favorite place to eat when we finish at the Mall.
Pizza is great and we love the cheesy bread with pepperomia. The calzones
are great and you can make one in just about any configuration you want.
Love the tomato sauce!!

| Great Wall Restaurant | Baton Rouge, LA | |
|
If your thing is buffet and you like Chinese, The Great Wall is the place
to go. I don't think anyone can go away hungry here. There is an extensive
menu of both Chinese and American food so everyone should be happy and
ice cream for dessert ends a happy meal.
