| Grapevine | College Station, TX | |

What a FUN place to eat. It has a great atmosphere, and an eclectic
menu of fun food at very reasonable prices. I've never been
dissapointed in the food or the restaurant. And in a college town,
that's a ringing endorsement. It's casual, not fine
dining. For fun, not formal occasions.

| Wings N' More | College Station, TX | |
|
This is the sister location to the original Wings 'n Things
across from the Texas A&M Camups. It is accessible from Bypass
6 on S> Texas Avenue. It too, is well worth the visit. The food
menu is not stunning, but it is terriffic. All the items are well
prepared all the time. The staff is far better than most college
town eateries, friendly, quick and helpful. and simply put,
the wings are the very best Buffalo wings I've had in the US.
You need to try this place, or one of the several other locations
in Texas.

| Golden Corral | College Station, Texas | |
|
Lots of food. Cheap. Pretty good too. Served on buffett style
islands. If you have a diverse or hungry group, this place will
work. Loads of different foods and tastes for even picky eaters
to get their fill. Good rolls and breads, and some tasty deserts
too.

| Tom's Barbecue & Steak House | Bryan, TX | |
|
For years a staple of the College Station dining scene. Still
going strong. Food served on butcher paper. Good BBQ and the rest
of the menu is good too. Fun, friendly and not too expensive. Not
too crowded either. Overall, a good place for a good time.

| Chicken Oil Co | Bryan, TX | |
|
Real good burgers, nice cold beer, games and fun in a rustic atmosphere.
Easy to get to and nice to eat at. Food is always good and inexpensive.
Friendly place, well worth a stop.

| Fat Burger | College Station, TX | |
|
Good, greasy, real-beef burgers. Fudruckers without the hype
and the flashy locations. Been around a long time. If you're
tired of overcooked, flash fried, too-thin burgers, and want
a treat, try a real burger again.

| Cacao Lane Restaurant | Ellicott City, MD | |
|
An excellent place to eat a nice dinner in old Ellicott City. Pricey,
but great atmosphere and location. Food is very good. Service
is not consistant. Dinner menu is predictably larger and costlier.
A nice lunch location also for dining.
|
||
| Golden Sports Bar and Grill | Ellicott City, MD | |
|
This is a SPORTS BAR, not a fine restaurant. If that's what
you want, this is a good one. Good food, good service, billiards,
tvs, the works. They also host a lot of live music at very reasonable
cover charges. A nice place, out of the way in the Triangle shopping
center.

| Wok 175 | Columbia, MD | |
|
They have improved a lot in the past 12-15 months. It is now consistantly
good food, and very friendly service. It has all the standards,
and if a repeat customer, they will cater the food to your needs/desires.
For carry out in Columbia, one of the best.

| Trattoria E Pizzeria | Columbia, MD | |
|
Above average for a local Italian pizza based place. It is not
a nice restaurant, but they have a large eat-in table area for
lunch and early dinner eaters. The food is well priced and pretty
good. If you want an informal, non-fast food lunch, this is a good
alternative. In the shopping center at Guilford and Route 1,
behind Jiffy Lube.

||
| Ledo Pizza | Columbia, MD | |
|
Typical of all the LEDO pizzas as far as food. Predictable. Nice
interior. Bad access and parking, typical of Columbia. ALWAYS
busy at lunch, try to avoid at peak times.

||
| Bertucci's Brick Oven Pizzeria | Columbia, MD | |
|
Who knew they would work the kinks out and make it in restaurant
loaded Columbia! When they opened, they had problems. But now
the wait staff is much better, and the food is consistantly good.
They have made art out of pizza. There is an entire menu of non-pizza
as well. Pizzas are made in a brick oven with wood fire. It really
makes it unique. This is a nice place without a warehouse feel
on the interior. Good for business lunch or personal lunch. Busy
at lucnh however, so eat early or late. It's better now, and
here for the long haul, so try it!

||
| Taste Of Asia | Columbia, MD | |
|
for the mall, it is acceptable. If you paid these prices and got
this food out at a restaurant, you'd be displeased. But if
you want asian, and everyone else wants pizza and sandwiches,
then it works great. Fast and friendly, food is OK.
|
||
| Lone Star Barbeque | Columbia, MD | |
|
It is a chain steakhouse. The steaks are better than the barbeque.
If you love steak, eat elsewhere, if you like it, this place is
great. It has a bar with peanuts you open and toss the shells on
the floor. The restaurant is nice inside and the menu good. Service
is hit and miss, as much of Columbia is. Look, this is NOT King's
Contrivance Inn, Clyde's or even Outback. But if you want
close and fun meat, it works. Behind Apple Ford off McGaw Road.
|
||
| Greek Delite | Columbia, MD | |
|
Nice place. Looks like the mall, but if you like the greek menu,
you won't be disappointed. Love the gyro's!
|
||
| Bennigan's | Columbia, MD | |
|
If you are at the water in Columbia, eat elsewhere. This is average
at best. If you wantthis type of menu and pub, go to Fridays. It's
a Bennigans, but this one is not nearly up to snuff. Always noisy,
crowded, and usually poor and slow service. There are three restaurants
and two bars less than 1000 feet away that are FAR superior. And
ever since they stopped offering burgers below medium-well,
the best menu item is gone. Do yourself a favor, try another place.
|
||
| Macaroni Grill | Columbia, MD | |
|
For a chain, this one is a cut above. Fun, friendly, and very good
food. The entire time is a good experience, provided you aren't
waiting in line for more than a few minutes. Eat the pasta, it's
what they do best. The menu is typical pasta/Italian. This is
a nice step up from Olive Garden, and better than the eat-in pizza
italian places all around Columbia. So unless you head to Elkridge
to Pecararro's ...... TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT!
|
||
| Hard Times Cafe | Columbia, MD | |
|
It is a chain (isn't everything these days?). That said,
it's nice. A varied menu of the Tex and the Mex, with a little
plain old American thrown in. The prices are fair, the interior
nice. The serivice (like a lot of Columbia places) is it or miss.
The shopping center exterior is misleading, it's better
than that. Have not used the bar, only the restaurant.
|
||
| Red Lobster | Columbia, MD | |
|
You know the chain, this one is no exception. The menu and food
is predictably good here. the thing about this Red Lobster is
the wait. If you try to come for dinner, be prepared to wiat if you
are not early or late. there is ALWAYS a large wait here, which
really drags the experience down. It is a great place for a business
lunch however. And keep an eye out for coupons, it make this a great
deal.
