| Restaurant Name | City |
Rating
|---|---|---|
| Thai Delight | Salem, OR | |
One of the better Thai places in Salem. A small shop with limited hours,
but they make a decent curry and decent stir fries.

| Bing's Kitchen | Lebanon, OR | |
You should just be amazed that a small town like Lebanon has Thai food.
It's worth eating and better than the ubiquitous Chinese food
or fast food.
| Kum-Yon's Restaurant | Newport, OR | |
There isn't much competition, so if you're in the mood it's
probably worth going to. But it's not going to compete with the
better places in bigger towns.

| Thai Cuisine | Salem, OR | |
Totally mediocre. Thai Beer is a better option. Curries are thin and
weak.
| Papa Aldo's Take & Bake Pizza Shop | Newberg, OR | |
Typical crappy chain. It's worth spending a couple extra bucks
to go to a real pizza joint where they have hot ovens and will make it for
you. Don't be cheap. Buy quality.

| Escape From New York | Salem, OR | |
One of the better pizza-by-the-slice places. Not great, but it's
worth visiting for a cheap lunch.
| Abby's Legendary Pizza | Newport, OR | |
This used to be a lot better. Now it's just a decent chain. Better
than Izzy's, but not worth visiting in a town that has more to offer.
Unfortunately, Newport doesn't.

| American Dream Pizza | Corvallis, OR | |
Blech. The crust is chemically tasting and often undercooked. Toppings
quality is mediocre at best. There's much better out there. Even
Pizza Hut.
| Novak's Hungarian Paprikas | Albany, OR | |
The only restaurant like this in the state as far as I know. While it's
not my favorite cuisine, it's hearty food for the winter months.
It makes a good stop when travelling I-5.

| Casa Baez Authentic Mexican Restaurant | Salem, OR | |
Part of a loca/regional chain. This is probably the best of the lot.
They make their own flour tortillas which is nice. Wish they were handmade.
Classic Mexican-American combo-platter food. One of the better ones
in Salem.

| Outback Steakhouse | Salem, OR | |
Just your typical chain. Personally, I think Applebee's does
a better job with steaks. And I really don't get the deep fried onion.
I'd rather have onion rings. And the fries are greasy.

| Chada Thal Restaurant | Seattle, WA | |
A good addition to northern Seattle for Thai food. The curries actually
have flavor and I've liked the noodle dishes I've tried, too.
| B & O Espresso | Seattle, WA | |
I wish they were open later. I like to stop here and get desserts after
dinner. Coffee is fine, but nothing special.
| Chang's Mongolian Grill Capitol Hill | Seattle, WA | |
I actually like this place, though it seems like no matter what mixture
of sauces I used everything ends up tasting the same. The seafood is
a great deal.
| Pyramid Brewery and Alehouse | Seattle, WA | |
Not the best beer, but better than McMenamins or other chains. The food,
otoh, is not worth eating. It's very mediocre, like diner quality.
| Bagel Oasis | Seattle, WA | |
Why can't someone make a good bagel? I don't want a roll with
a hole. I want something chewy and crusty, not like this place.
| Siam On Broadway | Seattle, WA | |
Just your average Thai place. The curries are thin and the noodle dishes
can be goopy.
| Salty's On Alki | Seattle, WA | |
Great view. Seafood is mid-level and not quite as good as the prices
would suggest. But they have very good service.
| Paragon Restaurant & Bar | Seattle, WA | |
A mini-chain with locations in Portland and California, I think. The
food is inconsistent but they have some tasty items like the mushroom
cigars or whatever they're called.
| Chez Shea | Seattle, WA | |
Still pretty good after many years in Seattle. But the food seems a little
tired compared to the leading restaurants in town. But it seems to be
working for them.
