Sorry can't do Golden Corral, the name says it all. It is like herding
cattle to eat. The price for something of this caliber...way over priced.
At $5 buck a plate plus a drink, I could be a bit more excited, but for what
they charged me, I can find other suitable alternatives.

I recently took one of my annual motorcycle trips to The Great Smokey
Mountains back in midsummer. I and at 3 other buddies go on this adventure
if you will, every year. One of the rules of our trip is that we do not eat
any chain restaurants or any restaurants we have in our hometown. With
that little tidbit I can now give you my review of “The Pigâ€. I can honestly say of all the pulled pork sandwiches I have ever eaten,
this place had hands down the best one. We have 2 family owned and operated
businesses in the town we live in and I can tell you this owner is downright
great and personable, the man is genuine. Yes he does shake everyone’s
hand in line and introduces himself, if this bothers you, wash up before
you eat; this is a good practice anyway. I think this country would be
a better place if more people were like this man. The beans were awesome,
as were the fries and the drinks. The BBQ sauce he had was a great vinegar
based hot sauce that was, I admit a little strange at first and was like
water and not paste. This was a breath of fresh air in comparison to all
of the tomato based ketchup style BBQ sauces most people are used to.
I want to taste my meat first, with a little kick in the pants to follow.
Much better than all the other soaked and smothered versions of pulled
pork generally served. As for the cigarette smoke; as of July, 2008 I didn't seem to notice
anyone smoking in the place. Probably like most states they have banned
it. This is clearly a local place you can tell by the quality food and atmosphere.
Besides you know that the locals know where to eat at right. So do yourself
a favor and find one of these kinds of homegrown places, find a seat,
and order the "Special". You won’t regret it!
