| Crazy Fish Fresh Grill | Saint Louis, MO | |
It began really well, but this seafood inspired bistro in Clayton
has taken a turn for the worse. The entrees are now bland and unoriginal.
For drinks and appetizers it's still a safe bet for downtown
Clayton.

| Harry's Restaurant & Bar | Saint Louis, MO | |
Harry's Downtown has it all. If you want an excellent, romantic
dinner this is the place. If you want a crazy Happy Hour and weekend
party spot - try their outdoor patio complete with live music.
Harry's also does well with large groups. We went for a rehearsal
dinner and it was very nice.

| Broadway Oyster Bar | Saint Louis, MO | |
More known for the live music than the food, this downtown staple
has been around for years. The drink specials are good, especially
during Mardi Gras, the live bands are always interesting, but
the food is ho-hum. I'd suggest eating somewhere else first
and then coming here.

| Ramon's Jalepeno | Saint Louis, MO | |
Good Happy Hour specials and fun entrees keep this Tex-Mex restaurant
in Clayton hopping. At times a place to see and be seen, it does
offer a pretty decent menu.

| Top of the Riverfront | Saint Louis, MO | |
Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous is the only way to describe this
one-of-a-kind restaurant in the heart of St. Louis. Fantastic
food, excellent wine list, extremely pleasant service and the
view as the top rotates is the height of romance. Don't worry,
it doesn't go so fast that you can't enjoy your meal.

| Pantera's Pizza | Saint Louis, MO | |
Although many of the Pantera's have closed since I first
started going there as a kid, this one is still around. Same style
pizza as I remember and man is it good!

| Tachibana Japanese Restaurant | Saint Louis, MO | |
Very nice sushi place in this strip mall Creve Coeur location.
Dining area is very open with private rooms for larger parties.
Sushi is well prepared and always fresh. Service is nice on nights
when there aren't that many people, but sometimes off during
busy times.

| Growlers Pub | Saint Louis, MO | |
Great beer selection from around the world. Don't expect
your usual Bud Lights at this place. Food is bar food trying to
become more gourmet. Stick to the basics - that's always
a good way to go. Beware of lunchtime crowds - especially on Fridays.
| Fio's La Fourchette Restaurant | Saint Louis, MO | |
Excellet wine list and outstanding desserts. Entrees cater
to a discriminating palate and don't leave anything else
to be desired. Make it an event and take someone special.

| Blueberry Hill Restaurant/Bar | Saint Louis, MO | |
Great drinks and food. Come here for the name and stay for the live
music going on. Great place in the summertime to hang outside
and people watch.

| Rich & Charlie's | Saint Louis, MO | |
A great local St. Louis place for pasta. Just like the others,
their signature salad is great and a must-have with any meal.
Pasta portions are pretty large so feel free to share.
| Cunetto House of Pasta | Saint Louis, MO | |
Excellent place for pasta on the St. Louis Hill. The menu is huge
with something for everyone. Portions are enourmous and certainly
warrant the bang-for-your-buck reputation. Cunetto's
does NOT take reservations at any time, so if you're trying
to get in on a Friday, Saturday or holiday night be prepared to
wait for hours.

| Pantera's Pizza | Saint Louis, MO | |
The stuff that dreams are made of is at Pantera's. A saturday
night staple when I was younger, Pantera's has slowly been
closing up shops so that few remain still. But their pizza is excellent
and very reasonably priced.

| Spiro's Restaurant | Saint Louis, MO | |
One of the few traditional Greek places in St. Louis, Spiro's
has excellent old world-style food. The lamb is hit or miss (more
so at the Olive location than anywhere else).
| Happy China Chinese Buffet | Saint Louis, MO | |
Great place for the all you can eat buffet. Family owned and run
(watch out for darting little kids clearing tables), this place
offers a huge buffet for a very resonable price.
| Cheshire Inn & Lodge | Saint Louis, MO | |
Great place to eat at this Clayton landmark. After a great American
cuisine dinner, head over to the pub for live entertainment.
| Cardwell's At the Plaza | Saint Louis, MO | |
Cardwell's at the Plaza is a see and be seen type of place.
While the front of the restaurant offers a country club-like
atmosphere, the back feels more like your Euro-lounge type restaurant.
Service is definitely on par at this place.
| Robata of Japan | Saint Louis, MO | |
Great place to go with a large group of friends, however couples
beware, you'll get placed with a large group of people you
won't know. Depending on your chef for the night you're
either in for a hilarious treat or a ho-hum presentation. Note,
that if you order fried rice you'll get charged extra.
| Chuy Arzola's Tex-Mex Rstrnt | Saint Louis, MO | |
Absolutely the best Mexican food in St. Louis bar-none. The margaritas
are out of this world (and great for a cheap, easy buzz) and the
food selection is great. There's something even the most
picky eaters will enjoy. You'll definitely leave stuffed.
If you're a spicy food fan, try their green salsa (you'll
have to request it - it's only for the brave).
| Amighetti's | Saint Louis, MO | |
Amighetti's is a St. Louis landmark for a reason. Their specials
are the absolute best!!! You won't leave disappointed.
