| Jennifer's Kitchen | Chicopee, MA | |
|
This is a little place tucked away on Chicopee Street near the
intersection of Grattan. Clean and neat it offers good old fashsion
home cooking to the neighborhood and anyone else who happens
to discover it. Seating is ample and the place can pack a crowd.
Patrons are faithful to this very friendly staff and establishment.
They are open daily for breakfast and lunch [which also includes
dinners] until 2:00 PM accept for Thursdays until 8:00 and Fridays
until the cows come home [into the early hours of Saturdays for
the very late night crowd]. The sandwiches are to die for. I really
go for the ham or egg salad, tuna melts, or the collosal fresh made
hamburgers through the garden, all for well under $4.00. Breakfast
makes the patrons eyes bug out. The pancakes nearly fall off the
place. Personally I like the homefries, ham, and eggs. The ham
is the real thing and plenty of it. The menu is very ample regardless
of what meal for which you come. There are always daily specials.
And Fridays, in addition to the regular menu, are always fresh
fish days. Weather baked or fried fish, shrimp, scollops, wonderful
Alaskan King Crab legs, or the fishermans platter, the seafood
at this place just melts in you mouth. I personally go for the King
Crab Legs at $9.25 a plate. This is the one place I frequent several
times a week and have never had a complaint or bad meal. I you like
good old fashsion home cooking, this is the place to go!

| Lido Restaurant | Springfield, MA | |
|
This place has gotten a little pricie over the past few years.
However, some things are worth it. A favorite of mine is the baked
stuffed jumbo shrimp. I prefer the regular stuffing; not the
Italian stuffing. The basket of warm Italian bread provided
is always taisty and very fresh. A real treat is the bottomless
bowl of salad that goes with each meal. I especially like the red
sweet pepers they put in it. The House Dressing is the best I have
every had anywhere [tangy, clear oil, with a hint of sweetness].
I was impressed they they went out of their way to purchase a bottle
of liquere that was hard to get when I had once requested a particular
drink. They had it the following time I went for a meal! The wait
staff is friendly, attentive, and the parking is very ample.
You are always greeted by a family member when you arrive at this
place.

| E B's Specialty Chicken Rstrnt | Agawam, MA | |
|
The very best wings around are from this place. They are fresh,
plump and jucy. There is no question they are homemade as you watch
them cook from scratch. They far exceed any other establishment
around! Other foods off the menu are quite good as evidenced by
the crowd this place packs. You are unable to find a fresh veal
cutlet grinder elseware. We like the tortolini alfrado. The
alfrado is not so pungent that it is overwhelming as in many other
establishmenets. Dinning here is informal and a bit unusual.
You order at a counter, then sit and wait until someone brings
the food to you table. It's a good place to bring friends and
family. We look forward to returning. The food is alway consistant.
The parking is always good.

| Hu Ke Lau Restaurant | Chicopee, MA | |
|
The decor of this resturant is tropical. At times there can be
a long wait to get a seat. There are five delicous buffets which
are constantly being tended to by the staff. Or if you choose you
can order off the menu. The food is always fresh. I am impressed
with the one buffet with the side of beef the staff cuts from to
create the dish of your choice while you wait. Even if you are on
a diet, this menu seems to accomidate you. There is plenty of wonderful
fish and seafood on the main buffet. Should you desire, there
is dinner entertainment in another part of the restaurant. This
is a place to which you will want to return and enjoy!

| Pucci's Harbor Side Rstrnt | Provincetown, MA | |
|
This upper scale restaurant is tucked away in the back of a building
with a view of the Provincetown Harbor. It is a great breakfast
spot but is open for other meals and has a large following. Parking
can be a bit of a problem and many people may not be inclined to walk
to it from the center of town. But compaired to many of the other
restaurants in town, this just might be worth the extra walk.
The food is tasty and excellent and the waite staff is attentive
and the prices are worth it. This place gets a "A" in
all respects.

| Woody's Brick Oven Restuarant | Westfield, MA | |
|
We have been to this restaurant about three times. The waite staff
are friendly and attentive. However, we think the food is only
fair, pizza included, and that there are other places close by
worth the trip to Westfield.

| Stefano's Restaurant-Blue Star | West Springfield, MA | |
|
This is a very good over all restaurant with mixed reviews from
the people who have eaten there with us. The Mussels Marinara
are probally the very best around according to one in our party.
They make fresh bread with their meals. The menu is extensive.
The specials are quit creative and generally tasty. Deserts
are excellent. The staff is friendly and quite attentive. Go
early so you won't waite. Parking is very good. This is a little
off the beaten track but easy to find and takes no effort to get
to. A well worth stop!

| Pizza Shoppe | East Longmeadow, MA | |
|
This place is known for their pizza with a light crust. We stopped
for lunch and desided to get meals rather than the standard fare.
We ordered Chicken Parm and Spaghetti and Meatballs. Admittedly
some of the food was from a local supplier but you could have fooled
us. We started out with two oversized salads with plenty of tomatoes
and blue cheese, a huge basket of buttered garlic bread, water
and soda. The Chicken Parm was the best I have had in years! The
chicken was lightly breaded and did not have a hint of grease in
it. The Sauce was light, not overly heavy, and delicious! The
pasta was perfect. The meatballs were better than most Italian
restaurants and in the same kind of sauce as the Chicken Parm.
We were pleasantly surprised that the meals were this good. If
you are in the area, don't miss this stop. The bill with a 20%
tip was $20.00 and well worth it.

| De Nardo Pizzeria | East Longmeadow, MA | |
|
Every once-in-awhile we go back to this restruant. Each time
we are very disapointed. The staff usually lacks knowledge about
the menu. Management appears very indifferent. Food that is
touted as "homemade" appears and tastes like anything
but good home cooking! The quality is very inconsistant. I think
we have finally learned our lesson and will not return again.

If you are in the area, the pizza is well worth the visit. I can not
think of anyplace really better in the area! It is so good that
we usually bipass anything else on the menu.

| Aqua Vitae Restaurant | Hadley, MA | |
|
This place has wonderful thin crust pizza and other Italian meals.
We have never been there when the restaurant is busy and still
have to wait a considerable time before the food is served. But
that probally attests to the delicious food which appears homemade
from scratch. I am not a meatball fan when going to restaurants...but
the ones here are the very best I have every had anywhere...and
believe me...I am very fussy! It is well worth the stop if you are
not in a rush and just want to relax and eat with good friends.

| Panda South Chinese Restaurant | East Longmeadow, MA | |
|
Of the many occassions that we have gone to this resturant, we
have never been disapointed. This is definately upper scale
place, nicely appointed, and queaky clean. The food is excellently
prepaired and attractively served. The waite staff is friendly
and knowledgable of the menu which has a gourmet flair! We prefer
the lunch portions which are very ample and reasonable in cost.
Prawns in a cream sauce [with pine nuts] teases the pallat. But
that is only the tip of the iceburg of the wonderful choices on
the menu. On meal from this epecurians delight and you will be
smitten!

| Book Store & Restaurant | Wellfleet, MA | |
|
This restaurant is a pleasant surprise just off of Wellfleet
Harbor. The food is excellent, tasty, with a Cape Cod flair and
a wonderful fresh atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive.
The name "Book Store" may fool you but the patrons
know they are at a gem of a place that is not over priced compaired
to other establishment in the area. I alway was told the best of
restaurants attract the "local" people because
they know where to go. This place does all of that!

| Grand Central Cafe | Provincetown, MA | |
|
For many years we wanted to go to this place and finally did last
summer. We had rack of lamb. It was one of the most memorable meals
we had ever ever had! There was no rush to chase us out. The waiter
was fantastic. The atmosphere was one of the best of any establishments
we have ever been in. Sad this is only a summer restaurant but you
can be sure we will return again. It's reputation has endured
as a landmark over many years.

| Michael Shay's Rib & Seafood | Provincetown, MA | |
|
Michael Shay's has been around for a long time. It used to
be the old Howard Johnsons in town. It is easy to become a regular
at this place. They have reasonably priced evening specials
and an extensive menu to pick from in a town that otherwise can
break your pocketbook. The saladbar is second to none, quite
extensive, with everthing very fresh including fresh fruit.
There is a breakfast bar on weekends. The last Thanksgiving meal
we had was at Michael Shay's. The food was far superior to
any of the other Thanksgiving meals we have had elseware in the
town. I was so surprised that upon our second return [many months
after the first visit] the owners remembered us and some of the
stories we exchanged! Best of all, the food is always consistant
and delicious.
