In a word awesome. The hotel I am staying at recommended this yesterday
as a must try restaurant. Now 2 meals later I am regretting that I am leaving
tomorrow because it will b 6 weeks until I can dine here again. Let me
start by saying there staff is fun from the owner to her son Robert to
the rest of the staff. They all make you feel at home. The food is as good
of Italian as I have had the pleasure to eat possibly ever. The veal was
to die for and the lasagna was an extra special treat. I had the privilege
to try some ravioli a meal I do not usually even like and am convinced
that there needs a whole new name because it was light as a cloud with
some amazing stuffing and sauce. The espresso was fine and the desserts
were amazing. If you like Italian at all do not even hesitate, run don't
walk to give this little gem a try.
The atmosphere was fun and the regulars were welcoming of strangers.
IN short from the bread to the dessert and espresso the meal was exceptional
with large portions and flavorful amazing main courses.

| Fargo's Pizza | Colorado Springs, CO | |
|
I like the salad bar and small pizza for lunch. I think it is one of the
freshest salad bars in town and the pizza is not bad.
To get an order you need to stand in line to order then watch a sign to go
and get your dinner. This part I do not like but some people say it adds
to the atmosphere.
It has been around forever but is in really good shape and we seem to do
a lot of my sons sports award ceremonies here.
Not a bad spot.

| Bea Jo's | Colorado Springs, CO | |
|
You may not want to stop here unless you are really sleepy. Beau Jo's
is not located at this location. According to Google this is America's
Mattress.
Try Beau Jo's at other locations through out Colorado if you get
the chance I actually really like them but this locations is no longer
good.

| Edelweiss Restaurant | Colorado Springs, CO | |

I grew up eating German at Grandma's. I love the heavy dumplings
and the rich gravy. Eating at this restaurant reminds me of the flavors
of my youth. The sweat and sour red cabbage and the awesome meats. I have
been going to this restaurant a few times a year since I moved here and
have not been able to find German food to compare to this since I got here.
If you get the chance and it is a nice evening try having dinner outside
in the beer garden and if it is not a nice evening the basement is actually
a quaint spot to eat with a TON of character. If your waste line can take
some huge portions of great German food stop in and try it you will not
be disappointed.

| Bird Dog Barbeque | Colorado Springs, CO | |
|
A fun place to stop. The food is good and the price is about the same as
any BBQ place I ever go to. I like the atmosphere especially the fact
that allow the customers to place pictures of their dogs under the glass
on the tables. (A nice personal touch)
I would recommend, if you like BBQ, you take the time to stop by

A rather relaxed atmosphere. From the entrance door that has never
opened all the way to the very relaxed atmosphere inside you will not
feel anything but comfortable. The first thing I look at when considering
if a restaurant is good is the food. I have literally travelled the world
including living in Korea and this is my favorite Korean stop. The food
is top notch and the sides are plentiful. I have eaten almost everything
on the menu at one time or another and have yet to be disappointed. The
service is top notch and if you are new to the cuisine they will take the
time to explain what it is and the customary ways to eat it. You will find
that the owner makes regular trips around his restaurant to see what
his customers think of the fare and to say hello. After eating at 100s
of Korean restaurants around the world this one may be my favorite to
date. It is certainly the litmus to judge all others by.

| Koreana Restaurant | Austin, TX | |
|
A bit disappointed. I ordered pork bulgoki and instead of being spicy
it was actually almost sickly sweat with a very off taste. The closest
thing I can relate the off taste to is a dirty pan or dirty grill. I am certain
that is not it but that is the closest explanation of the taste. The sides
were fair But not great. I thought they were actually a bit tasteless.
Most people I talked to came to Koreana for the Sushi which I did not try
so can not say much about. I have eaten Korean food all over the world
including Chinhae Korea which I lived in when I was in the navy. I hope
I can find better here in Austin as this was average at best. The restaurant
however is very nice looking with a dark rather romantic feeling. The
service was fair but not overly attentive. For Sushi perhaps it is worth
giving this a try for Korean I would not really recommend it.

| Texas Roadhouse | Colorado Springs, CO | |
|
Basic steak house. It is the standard chain steaks that are good but
not great and come with a standard fare of sides.
I must admit my family and I go here fairly often but in my mind this is
not a really exciting place more so it is a slightly more then consistently
mediocre place to grab a steak.
What I really do not like about it is the lines and the noise. There call
ahead system does not work too well but is better then nothing. If you
want a fairly good steak it is worth the stop but I will not go out of the
way to eat here.

| Steaksmith | Colorado Springs, CO | |

Good food but a bit pricey. Some of the best service I have had ever. That
being said I was a bit set back when I found out they have their own version
of rare medium rare etc. If you go here and want medium rare order medium
if you want medium order medium well etc. Just ask your server they will
explain how they do it.
The meat was amazing and the sides were nice. I am not much of a wine drinker
but the party that went with us was and she found a bottle that was awesome.
Basically it is a bit more money then most steaks in town but probably
worth the money for the service and quality of the food.

| Conway's Red Top | Colorado Springs, CO | |
|
A regular stop for my son and myself. I worry about anyone that needs
to eat a whole burger here as they are extremely large. They are large
enough that they are commonly sold as a half burger.
The restaurants are all a bit older and feel that way which in my mind
is just find considering it is a family friendly burger joint.
Worth the stop.
