| Cafe Kilo | Montreal, QC | |
There are sandwiches and salads on the menu, but the real raison
d'etre is the CHEESECAKE. The bakery is right across the
street, and it runs 24 hours a day, supplying Montreal's
best restos with Montreals' best cheesecakes. Luckily,
the block it occupies is currently the hottest in the city, so
people watching is primo.

| Restaurant Chao Phraya | Montreal, QC | |
Average Thai food for above average prices. You can easily find
better Thai food for less money at many other restos.

| Faros Restaurant | Montreal, QC | |
Excellent Greek food, with fish being their specialty. Many
Montreal politicians have been spotted eating there, so if your
tax dollars are already being spent there, you may as well check
it out.

| Terrasse Lafayette Pizza | Montreal, QC | |
This is an average Greek restaurant nestled among many superior
Greek eateries. Their strength is that they make a decent, thick,
gooey and cheesy pizza, which they deliver. They other items
on the menu are slightly overpriced, a dn a tad bland. The taramosalata
is a little too fluorescent for my taste. Also, it is a BYOB with
a caddy-corner deppanneur, so you can save a bundle by buying
a cheapo vino to accompny your souvlaki platter.

| Cote St Luc Bar-B-Q | Montreal, QC | |
Excellent family restaurant, but not for vegetarians.
If you're Jewish and you go, you're guaranteeed to bump
into someone you know, so be prepared for some table hopping.
Classic Montreal BBQ chicken, including dipping sauce, a hamburger
bun and fantastic chicken soup.

| Mamma's Pizzeria | Montreal, QC | |

| Elio Pizzeria | Montreal, QC | |
Great mafia-style pizzeria on the edge of Little Italy. Good
pizza, great entrees, nice espresso.
| Restaurant Pizzeria Sandhu | Montreal, QC | |
Average pizza, but they deliver, which is a plus if you ain't
leavin the house.
| Psarotaverna Du Symposium | Montreal, QC | |
Excellent old-school Greek resto. Situated right across the
street from the legendary, over-priced and over-rated and over-crowded
Milos. Try this for a change in pace. Ola!
| St Paul Pub | Montreal, QC | |
decent pub fare, but the bands are great. Show up for a late supper,
order a few pitchers of beer (good selection of drafts) and enjoy
the music!
| Winnie Bar Restaurant | Montreal, QC | |
If you like the Crescent street scene, you'll love this place.
If you're a man with money looking for a girls, this place
is for you. If you're a girl looking for free drinks...ditto.
Good luck, and may the cruising begin.

| Monkland Taverne | Montreal, QC | |
This used to be a legend, but the owners have recently expanded
and opened two new locations, leaving the food on the back-burner.
nice for an over-priced business lunch, but not much more.
| Amelio's | Montreal, QC | |
Classic pizzeria in the heart of the McGill University ghetto.
All of their pizzas are great....freshly made and thin crispy
crusted!!
| Arahova Souvlaki | Montreal, QC | |
This used to be great, but the owner has since opened up several
locations and has franchised the name, seeling the tzatziki
sauce in grocery stores. The result is a mass-produced feel and
taste, which is fine in most cities with a small Greek population,
but in Montreal there is a better Greek restaurant within two
blocks of every Arahova.

| Arahova Souvlaki | Montreal, QC | |
This one is worse than the St-Viateur street location....but
if you got the munchies and you're downtown, it is one of your
better options....
| Bar-B Barn | Montreal, QC | |
Well, if you want ribs, your choices are limited. This place does
it all a la carte, so you have to order a lot of food and pay the price...not
as good as the old days when at least you could spot some celebs
eating there...Ralph Lockwood....oooooh...
| Basha Restaurants | Montreal, QC | |
Awesome Lebanese, and definitely the best munchies on the downtown
strip..Falafel like itn should be, and the potatoes... and the
salads....i could eat there all day and not get bored!
| Belle Province | Montreal, QC | |
Montreal at it's best! Steamed hot dogs, poutines, and try
the veggie-dog-michigan - its meat sauce poured over a soy-tube
- GROSS!
have a pepsi and shut up.

| Benedicts Restaurant Bar | Montreal, QC | |
I hear it's the old owners of La Louisiane on Sherbrooke street.
The Cajun dinners are a little pricey and un-authentic, but the
real strength here is the brunch. The omelettes are big and hearty,
the toast is always hot and the coffee is decent.
| Bens Deli & Restaurant | Montreal, QC | |
Expensive smoked meat for dumb tourists, lazy businessmen and
late nights drug addicts. I loved eating here in the seventies,
but now its all washed up...but still worth a trip once a year.
