Cibo Bar & Grill
The decor is nice (its kind of a upscale California diner look).
The cuisine is decent. It's kind of the average burgers and
fries (with maybe a few twist throne in there). The food is well
prepared and tastes good, I do think however that they have some
odd combinations. For example: Philly cheese steak on a dutch
crunch role. It sounds good, but the bread is too soft for this
particular type of food and the bread adds an odd sweetness and
and the crunchy top was really rough on my mouth. Beside you just
can't beat a good crunchy French roll or poor Boy for this.
Overall, the food is good. Perhaps it's a good stop on your
way shopping.

Canvas cafe
This is a great place. They have a nice selection of food that's
always well prepared (and they have a nice selection of wine,
beer, and other beverages). A popular place, it always seems
to be full. The meanwhile atmosphere always lively, so if you
want a quiet place to think this isn't it. They usually have
something going on in the evening like live Jazz or other types
of entertainment. The Cafe doubles as an art gallery so thewalls
are always have something of interest on them. Is always well
kept and clean. Overall I think this is a great place to go and just
hang out.

| Brother-In-Laws Bbq | San Francisco, CA | |

Love this place. Meat was tender and the sauce was great (but hot
is really HOT). Small place. I went with a bunch of friends and
every one loved it. Highly recommended.

| Big Nate's Barbeque | San Francisco, CA | |

This was good. Some neat sport memorabilia on the walls. But I
have had better (the meat was a bit tough).

| Powell's Place | San Francisco, CA | |
|
Love this place! Best fried chicken in the world (and cheap)!!!
The other stuff is good too (try the sweet potato pie). The place
is very homey too (nothing matches but it doesn’t mater, it a real
home style place). And the service is great, always prompt and
super friendly. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

| House of Nan King | San Francisco, CA | |
|
Great food. Don’t go for friendly people or atmosphere, becaus
you won’t get either one here. It’s small and cramped, but the
food is killer (people line up for this place). Service is prompt.
In, eat, out move on… that seems to be the idea here. Price is good
too.

| Bocce Cafe-Italian Restaurant | San Francisco, CA | |
|
This place is great. The price is good for what you get. Food is
always tasty, and the decor and atmosphere is nice (nice roaring
fire place). Some times the have music (nice but loud). The interior
is decorated so that it looks like it has vines growing inside.
Good wine selection and bar. This would be a great date restaurant.
You have to walk down a short ally to get to it, so it feels like a
hidden treasure (even though it’s well known).

| Ebisu Restaurant | San Francisco, CA | |

Good food, Standard Japanese (bento, etc.). prepared well.
That’s about it, nothing spectacular, but good.
|
||
| Thirsty Bear Brewing Co | San Francisco, CA | |
|
Good Tapas, good beer… a bit pretentious in the surroundings
and servers though. Good food. Try it at least once.

| Mr Barbeque | San Jose, CA | |
|
This is a little joint. Simple atmosphere. The portions could
be just a bit bigger. The sauce is gobed on and has a nice tanginess.
It’s decent.

| Mimi's Cafe | San Jose, CA | |
|
For the money the food is ok, I wouldn’t call it spectacular. The
atmosphere is nice though. If you go, the two things that they
do very well though are the French onion soup and the cream of chicken
soup (served only on Sundays though).

| Holder's Country Inn | San Jose, CA | |
|
I like this place a lot! It gets very busy though, so be patient
if you go. The breakfast is the star! Pancakes of various types
are made fresh. You have to try the crêpes or the blintzes! The
lunch is ok… but breakfast is what it’s all about at this place.

| Chilis Hamburger Grill & Bar | San Jose, CA | |
|
Big chain. Food is pretty standard, burgers, ribs, etc. You can
be sure to get the same food you always do, (it’s always done fairly
well). This location is very popular, but I think most of them
are. Be prepared to wait.
|
||
| Denny's | San Jose, CA | |
|
It’s Denny’s, big chain. Food is pretty standard. You can be sure
to get the same food you always do. See a lot of drunks here on a late
Friday night/Saturday morning as most of the local clubs a close
by.
|
||
| Popeyes | San Jose, CA | |
|
I like Popeye’s. It’s a lot like KFC with a little bi of spice added.
I love their dirty rice too.
|
||
| Cardinal Coffee Shop Lounge | San Jose, CA | |
|
The food at this place is decent, but that’s not the reason you
go to this place. It’s like eating in Vegas during the late 50’s.
The service is at times a bit surly but the decor is mirrors and
neon, and just flat out funny. Go on a Friday night and watch the
60 somthings trickle out of the karaoke bar. Best people watching
around (especially since it’s open 24 hours).

| Bella Mia | San Jose, CA | |
|
The decor of this place is very neat. The food was full of flavor
and a decent portion. I enjoyed it

| Vegetarian House | San Jose, CA | |
|
The food here is well prepared, and tasty. Interesting selection
(especially the fake meats). The place is odd though, it serves
as headquarters for a religious group, so there’s a video going
of their leader in the back ground, and a small museum of her outfits,
interesting.

||
| Mr Chau's | San Jose, CA | |
|
I love Mr. Chow’s. it’s not real Chinese, and it’s heavy (and I’m
sure it’s bad for you too). But it tastes great! You get a lot for
the money. I always get 2 meals out of one at this place.
