| Yankee Diner, The Seattle | Seattle, WA | |
|
Yankee Diner is the worst style of corporate blandness you're
likely to find in Ballard. The food isn't much better than
Denny's, but comes with a higher price tag, albiet larger
portions. If you're looking for mass produced charmless
food and can't be bothered with driving out to the mall, then
this is your place. But, if you want homestyle comfort food, then
head to Atlas Diner, Beeliner Diner, Vera's, or almost anywhere
else.

| TWO DEGOS (DUDES) FROM TEXAS | Seattle, WA | |
|
This is one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. And,
while the food is indeed unique, I would say it represents a spectacular
new low in gringo attempts to create Latin/Mexican/Italian
food. Or maybe the world isn't ready for canned Mexo-Italian
fusion quite yet.

On the plus side, if you have a nostaligic yearning for Franco-American
canned pasta then you may be able to satisfy it here.

| Rovers | Seattle, WA | |
|
I try to go to Rover's at least once a year and am never let down
by the consistent top quality cuisine and creative inspiration
behind it.

| Le Gourmand Restaurant | Seattle, WA | |
|
Nestled in a charming old Ballard home, Le Gourmand makes a great
special night out or date restaurant. While the quality of the
menu can sometimes be a bit uneven, the quiet and relaxing ambience
often make up for some of the weaker points of the food. It is also
probably a bit more expensive than it should be.

| Novak's Hungarian Paprikas | Albany, OR | |
|
Authentic hungarian food, which is a very good thing, in case
you've never been to Hungary. Excellent desserts and MASSIVE
portions.
