| Larry's Pit BBQ | Christopher, IL | |

Larry's isnt a five star BBQ restaurant by any means but it's
a good place, especially around here. I enjoy eating there when I have
the money.

| Smokin' Moe's Ribhouse | Winter Park, CO | |
|
Smokin' Moe's is a very good place to eat. Their BBQ sandwiches
just melt in your mouth. As the previous review said, the atmosphere
is great and the setting is very beautiful. It is in the middle of Winter
Park, a ski resort town in the Rockies. I was very impressed when I went
there and I am looking foward to going back. By the way, make sure you
buy a few bottles of their BBQ sauce, it is worth it.

| Giant City Lodge & Restaurant | Makanda, IL | |
|
This is my favorite restaurant of all time. Everything about it is excellent.
The food, the scenery, the service, the surroundings, the history
of the lodge as mentioned, it is all excellent and this place is worth
a trip down. I live about 50 miles away and I drive down here whenever
I get the chance. Make sure you get the all you can eat dinner. They bring
out fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, rolls
until you can't eat no more. It is especially a great place to take
a date for his or her birthday, a place to take your mom on Mother's
Day, or something like that but if you do go on a holiday, make sure you
get a reservation a few weeks before you plan to go down there. I have
never heard a bad thing about that place.

| Corner Cafe | Liberty, MO | |
|
This is a restaurant that you walk into and you will always walk out stuffed.
It is good home cookin' and the service is really good. Everything
they serve is huge. They have huge omlets that cover your plate, very
good buscuits and gravy, and their chicken fried steak is also very
good. Whatever you get there, two things are for sure. It will be in large
servings and it will be good. It has a great family environment to it.
The only thing about it though is that it is always crowded but if you
cook good food, the people find it. If you ever coming through Liberty
on I-35 and you want something good and not fast food for a change, this
is the perfect place to stop.

| Rosebud Cafe | Pana, IL | |
|
It is nothing very special but when your on the road and want to stop at
a truck stop, this is a great place. If you are going through on Friday
night, they have a special Walleye night that is real good. Another
thing that stands out in my mind I like at the Rose Bud are the cheese fries.
It isn't a restaurant that most people would put on their hot list
but If you want to sit down, have a cup of coffee and a good meal, this is
not a bad place at all.

| Iowa 80 Truckstop | Walcott, IA | |
|
Every time I'm in Iowa, this is always my favorite part of Iowa.
The fried chicken (my favorite food I'm usually picky about) is
very good, the rest of the buffet is good. It is a truck stop but not your
typical hole-in-the-wall grease spoon. It has a bit of a truck stop
environment but also somewhat of a family restaurant, a very unusual
mix that this place pulls off very well. The service is friendly and
it is affordable. The buffet cost about $7 or $8. The rest of the truck
stop is really neat too.

| 20's Hideout Steakhouse | Marion, IL | |
|
For steak lovers like me, it isnt like when Dad cooks on the grill but
it is still a great place to eat. My favorite menu item was an 18 oz porterhouse
steak. That plus the baked potato, your drink, and an Oreo milkshake
(which is very good) will cost you over all about $20-$25. But that is
one of the most expensive items on the menu. It could be a family restaurant
but I think it is a great place to take a date for something that is somewhat
low price but is nice.

| Mike's Drive-In | West Frankfort, IL | |
|
All of those things are good about this place but I think everyone is
forgetting perhaps one of the best things here...the A&W root
beer in the frosted mug. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but
when I come there, it is because of the root beer. There are not a lot of
places around here that serves root beer in a frosted mug like that.
The prices are reasonable and I love the environment of it. It is like
the old fashioned restaurants where they serve you in your car. It is
a good place to stop and my favorite place in West Frankfort.
