Teru Sushi Studio City, CA
I have been here twice and sat at the sushi bar. Both times we had handrolls that we did not order padding our bill. You couldn't pay me to go back there.
Genmai Sushi Sherman Oaks, CA
Genmai represents good quality and a somewhat unique presentation. Clientele is often a bit on the yuppie Hollywood industry side, but pleasant. Masago and shrimp sushi items were as good as any I have had anywhere else. This place is on par with some of the better sushi places in the Valley. It is not spectacular, but it is still quite good.
Sushi Dake Burbank, CA
Some great sushi for a very reasonable price. Service is great and the owners are very caring and nice. I recommend the lobster roll and the dake roll... just melts in your mouth, just awesome.
Tommy's Sushi Japanese Tustin, CA
I followed the recommendation from the review I read and had to agree. I ended up spending a little more then I thought I would. My meal cost me around 30$. I had to kept ordering more and more sushi , it as that good!
Ono-Ya Japanese Restaurant Huntington Beach, CA
This is a friendly, family run Japanese restaurant. The unassuming location around the corner from Pic n' Save keeps this gem hidden from most. Simple decor, fresh fish, great prices, and friendly staff. I especially like their combination dinners where you can choose 2-3 entrees and select your own from the menu. They also have the best broiled mackrel around (and I never liked mackrel before).
Yusan-Sushi El Cerrito, CA
Wow!!!! This place claims to be the inventor of the California Roll, and if they are not the inventor, they have perfected it! The biggest pieces of sushi I have had this side of Yokohama! Fresh, good, well made! A must do for sushi lovers!
Lindas Soup Cafe Yreka, CA
My favorite dishes for lunch are the chicken asparagus soup with a turkey cranberry sandwich on wheat or rye bread. The food is always fresh and tasty. If you are looking for soups and sandwiches go here.
THAI ORCHID San Jose, CA
Excellent food !! We love to go there very often and we like Cashew Chicken and their thai iced tea. Would strongly recommend if one likes hot spicy food.
Lemon Grass Sacramento, CA
A little pricy, but well worth it. The combinatons of flavors and smells make my mouth water thinking about it. Try it, you'r like it.
Asian Rose Restaurant Santa Cruz, CA
Tasty! The board lists some dairy products, but the counter staff says there arn't any. Trust no one. The food is exceptionaly good, and you get plenty of it. A fat vegans paradise.
Thai Time San Carlos, CA
We had veggie pad thai and a shrimp dish. The pad thai was some what bland, and the shrimp was only good. Good service though.
Siam Thai Cuisine San Jose, CA
The best Thai food by far!! I could eat there every day of the week! My favorite is their garlic pork!
Thai Nakorn Buena Park, CA
This restaurant has great Thai food. I agree with all the other reviews. Don't think about it, just go there and eat.
Wheel of Life Irvine, CA
The Wheel of Life is my favorite resteraunt. The pad thai is addictive. Victor and Kim run the best, cleanest, and most healthy place to eat around.
Mi Lindo Peru Restaurant San Francisco, CA
In this restaurant serves big portions, one of the biggest ones among peruvian food restaurants. Don´t forget to try "papa a la huancaina" here because the one that serves is very good!
Golden Inca Peruvian South San Francisco, CA
Peruvian food is the best. This is an affordable restaurant in SSF. This is one restaurant that I can with all confidence reccommend. It has great food and great service. So if you are ever craving for some yummy peruvian food go to Golden Inca Peruvian Restaurant.

Salang Pass Afghan Cuisine Fremont, CA
Whenever i know i am traveling to the bay area, my mouth starts watering at the thought of dining at salang pass. afghan food is soooooo good and salang pass is the best. try the flat spicy meat patty. (it will make you want to buy afghan cookbooks to try and replicate the recipe!!!) just do it.
Helmand Restaurant San Francisco, CA
Four people is the right size because you can try so many different things. Although lamb is the primary meat, there are so many different spices and herbs used, that are hard to find and unique to Americans (this is truly authentic food), that it is a lovely experience. Don't be frightened by the neighborhood, you are transported to Afghanistan once inside. Don't forget to get the coffee, quite an experience. And the wine list is cheap and well matched with the food.
