It looks fast food, but it definitely is not. Really great BBQ.
My favorite is the brisket...

| El Cap | Saint Petersburg, FL | |

Great burgers. This little place has been there forever, looks
a little aged. But the service is always great and the burgers....wow!

| Red Mesa Restaurant | Saint Petersburg, FL | |
|
This isn't Mexican food. It is a fusion of southwest and Mexican
with the talents of the owner/chef. Truely something different.
It is upscale and you pay for that. If you want an really nice dining
experience with really good flavorful food this is the place.
I like the sangria...

| Coney Island Sandwich Shop | Saint Petersburg, FL | |
|
This is a piece of St. Pete history. It has operated in the same
place with the same recipes since the 1920's. Coney island
has an old time diner feel. It should since some of the appliances
have been there for decades. They have great coney chili dogs
and real hand dipped ice cream milk shakes. Really nice folks
there to wait on you. Better get there early for lunch.

| Paisano's Pizza N Pasta | Saint Petersburg, FL | |
|
Great lunch buffet. Pizza, pasta dishes, soup and salad for a
very reasonable price. The waitresses are always pleasant.

| Paradise Restaurant | Safety Harbor, FL | |

The food is completely uninspiring. The hamburgers are big but
bland. The last one I had was on a hard bun, yuck. The Philly steak
sandwich is tough and chewy. Ragu makes a better marinara sauce.

The service is very friendly and quick.

| Roger's Real Pit Bar-B-Que | Clearwater, FL | |
|
The BBQ at Rogers is almost always great. From chicken to ribs,
beef and pork, it all tastes excellent. The entrees don't
need sauce, but there are two to choose from. The regular is bold
and flavorful. The Hot sauce is a rich and mildly hot BBQ which
I tend to favor. Occasionally you may get a piece of meat which
is overdone. All you have to do is ask and they will happily bring
you another.

| Lenny & Vinny's New York Pizza | Clearwater, FL | |
|
The name has changed, actually some time ago, to West Shore Pizza.
The service is spotty. The sandwiches can be good or fair. The
wings taste pretty good, but don't seem to smell so good.
The pizza is great.
