| Terry & Jerry's O Sole Mio | Bay City, MI | |
|
I've been here plenty of times, and enjoyed myself thoroughly.
The atmosphere is relaxed, but formal. The service is excellent,
and the wait staff is VERY experienced. A new chef came in about
a year ago and has done quite well. I strongly recommend the seafood
dishes. They are prepared to perfedtion. If TRULY Italian cuisine
is what you're after, you may be disappointed, but if American
Italian fodd is more your style, stop in. Get a reservation for
weekend evenings. The place gets crowded. A piano player also
plays weekend evenings. He takes requests, and does a great job.

| Wanigan Eatery | Bay City, MI | |
|
Casual dining by the river. They are open for lunch, and lunch
you'll get. Monstrous sandwiches made from amazing artisinal
breads. Exotic ingredients top premium meats. Enjoy! I do!

| Hooters | Bay City, MI | |
|
Hooters is just what you'd expect. A chain restaurant. The
food is actually quite good for a chain, with a few good beers on
draft. Service, from the scantily clad vixens, is generally
decent, and the casual atmosphere and riverside dining are a
plus.

| Tony's I-75 Restaurant | Birch Run, MI | |
|
I dig it. I live and work in this area, and have eaten there many
times. The portions are rather ridiculous, but it does work out
to be a pretty good value. It's fun, with a family friendly
greasy spoon atmosphere. You won't find a better greasy
spoon often.

| Apple Creek Junction Family | Bridgeport, MI | |
|
I'm not a fan. I've dined here several times, usually
as a last resort. It's hard to get anything fresh/hot here.
The best time to go is late at night, or very early in the morning,
otherwise you risk getting items that have been sitting under
the lights for quite a while.

| Barns & Knobles | Saginaw, MI | |
|
I think the Starbucks in this place is alright. I'm kind of
a coffee snob, and Starbuck bean always tastes a little scorched
to me, but the staff, for being a bunch of infants, seems well trained.

| Bringer Inn | Saginaw, MI | |
|
Greasy, and I mean GREASY spoon!!! Best Damn breakfast anywhere.
Bar None. It's where the cops, firefighters and paramedics
go when they can. That should tell you something.

| El Rancho Grande | Saginaw, MI | |
|
Great Mexican is hard to find, but you can find it here. Well priced
and portioned food with great flavor and outstanding preparation.
Staff is friendly and helpful. The place looks like it seats about
4 until you get inside and see how big it really is.

| Forbidden City Chinese Rstrnt | Saginaw, MI | |
|
I think this is GREAT Chinese! It's definately the best in
the area. I recommend the sizzling rice soup, and anything else
on the menu. I'm dying to try the Peking Duck.

| Mario's La Belle Restaurant | Saginaw, MI | |
|
The service is good, but that's about all you can say. The
food is mediocre, the buffet leaves much to be desired, although
I do like the biscuits and gravy.

| Rib Shack Restaurant | Saginaw, MI | |
|
For 5 bucks you can walk in and get the "Tip and Fry"
lunch special. You won't want to eat anything else, ever.
Those rib tips are INCREDIBLE!! The fries are crinkle type, and
I don't care if they fry 'em in motor oil, they are hot
and crispy, and stay that way even if you have to drive 20 minutes
home with the styrofoam container closed up. This place is great!
I'll admit, it's shack like look is a bit disconcerting,
especially when you take into account the neighborhood it's
in (bad.) The bulletproof glass in there is a little weird too,
but it's because of an armed robbery they had several years
ago. Walk in, order your tip and fry and a piece of pecan pie, and
go enjoy it on Ojibway Island. ROCK ON!!
