| Douglass Fudge and Pavilion | Wildwood, NJ | |
|
Douglass' has the creamest fudge on the boardwalk. Not at all grainy.
Less than $10/pound. There's some genteel seating inside (wicker
chairs) or the pavilion across the boardwalk with seating and all-day
entertainment - the caricature lady. Counter service and take-out.

| Hot Spot 4 | Wildwood, NJ | |
|
Honestly, we probably would have walked right by, but the tie-dyed
t-shirts the staff were wearing caught our eyes. (We sell tie-dyes.
:D) Last meal of our trip, but it was a good one. Piping hot, fresh gyros
and sandwiches. Bathrooms are a little scary - not dirty, just old and
really...uh...crusty. Table service in back.

| Urie's Waterfront Restaurant | Wildwood, NJ | |
|
Nice water view - not ocean, but it does sit out over the water (the bay
or lake I guess???) and the deck is nice in the early evenings. Always
great seafood here. Urie's is just one of those places we have to
stop at every year.

| Magic Brain Cyber Cafe - Off-Boardwalk | Wildwood, NJ | |

Easy to find, closes early . Awesome coffee!

| Magic Brain Cyber Cafe | Wildwood, NJ | |
|
I'm a Starbucks junkie, but there were none in our part of town.
In desperation on night, I made a stop at Magic Brain for a Mocha Latte.
Just a little something to keep me awake long enough to walk back to the
hotel at the other end of the boardwalk. What a nice surprise! Far better
than that bitter brew Starbucks calls a Mocha Latte. Prices are reasonable
and the staff is really friendly. Tip well - they'll remember you!

| Bonelli's Market and Deli | Wildwood, NJ | |
|
Best hoagies in Wildwood! Several foot-long hoagies under $5 and all
made to order. Take-out only. Would advise that you not take a large
stroller inside due to the narrow aisles. Very reasonable prices on
drinks and juice boxes for the kids. Great selection for putting together
a picnic lunch. Fax your order ahead at: 609-729-3663 (say-food).
Summer hours: 7 am to 7 pm. Cash.

| Maryland Fried Chicken | Easton, PA | |
|
MFC has saved the day more times than I could count! I especially love
the coleslaw. It's a meal in itself. The fried chicken is way better
than that other big chicken chain. And there's never a line. Check
your bag carefullt before you leave. They do tend to forget to put everythng
in your bag. It happens so frequently, we write down our order and double-check
it against what's in the bag before we leave the buidling.

| Angelo's Pizza | Wildwood, NJ | |
|
Awesome, crispy, tasty white pizza with lots of yummy garlic. Out of
the way location near the Convention Center. Not much to look at inside,
but get over it. The pizza is worth it.

| Mack's Pizza | Wildwood, NJ | |
|
Ugh. Mack's Pizza is not the same as when I was a teenager. This was
the worst pizza we had during our recent trip. I had white pizza with
chicken and garlic and the chicken was the pre-cooked, laden-with-preservatives
variety from the grocery store. It was salty and gross. We'll never
go back.

| Doo Wop Diner | Wildwood, NJ | |
|
The juiciest well done burger I've ever eaten. We loved dinner
here so much, we went back for breakfast the next day. Breakfast was
a little less spectacular, but still delicious, filling, and a little
more affordable even than dinner was. Everyone in my family loved our
dinner here and the servers in their 50's costumes were a nice surprise!
They have their menu up on their website: http://www.doo-wopdiner.com/index.htm

| Duffer's Restaurant | Wildwood, NJ | |
|
By far one of the best meals of our trip to Wildwood!! You must try the
Grilled Portabella sandwich. I'm a hardcore carnivore and I LOVED
this vegetarian sandwich! I also ordered the eggplant fries. In for
a penny, in for a pound, huh? :D My son loved his cheese quesadilla kids
meal (a little chicken in it would have been nice) with curly fries and
chunky applesauce. My husband raved about his cheesesteak. Sadly,
we did not get to try any desserts here. We were just stuffed to the gills
from dinner. But they look spectacular and HUGE!!!

| Gap Diner | Wind Gap, PA | |
|
Bring a coat or dress in layers. The owner economizes on the heat during
the winter. We froze our butts off trying to eat there this past Januray.
Miserable. We packed up all the food and came home to eat. The food was
good, but it would have been better if we didn't feel like they were
trying to push us out the door by turning the thermostat down.

Great food, but bring a light coat or dress in layers during the winter.
We were seated by a window this past winter and froze our butts off trying
to get through our meal. Eventually, we just packed everything up and
got it to go. Haven't been back during chilly weather since.
They are open 24 hours on weekends - which is nice for us night owls. :D

| Lobster Shack | Wildwood, NJ | |
|
Best Tail in Town!!! That's the restaurant's motto and they're
not lying! Get there early for quick seating and to take advantage of
the Early Tide Specials. $15 for twin 4 oz. lobster tails. Yum! We actually
had a very late lunch there around 4 pm and the place was all but empty.
We loved the coconut shrimp appetizer with spicy apricot sauce. We
should have ordered one for each of us. We gobbled them up too fast. My
son had the kids fried shrimp meal and he loved it. Great deals for families
on a budget.
