| Furr's Cafeteria | Wichita, KS | |
|
This Furr's has excellent management and quality, unlike some
of the other locations in which I have dined. You pay one price, a little
under $8, and eat all you want. There is a senior citizens discount,
kids are cheap, and under 5 are free. I prefer to eat here over the traditional
buffets, because the food is in a more controlled environment. Only
the restaraunt servers have access to load a plate, unlike some buffets
where the food is accessable to everyone....especially the kids that
just picked their nose and then decides to stick their finger in the
food. (sorry for the visual!)It could happen! The best thing about
this place is variety from salads, meat, vegatables, to desert.

| El Torero | Wichita, KS | |
|
This is a typical authentic Mexican restaurant, but with a really unique
atmosphere. There are a few interesting sections of dining areas,
and one of them gives you a serious, outdoor, looking up at tall buildings,
appeal. The restaraunt is in the downtown business district, and the
architecture is such that the exterior of 3 surrounding tall buildings
is revealed inside the restaurant, the section where the cieling is
skylit 30' high. To explain the bad rating, the first time I dined,
everything was on target, probably a 5. Then the next time, service
wasn't as great, took too long, and felt neglected. But the third
time was the worst. The chips were extremely hard, and the waitress
claimed there was nothing she could do to get more chips, that this was
the only batch they had. So maybe this means you have a 1/3 chance of a
good dining experience. Good Luck!

| Shooters | Wichita, KS | |

This place is a pool hall / bar, but with some good food. I dinned here
several times on my lunch break. Everyday they have excellent, affordable
lunch specials, and you can soot pool for free. Highly recomended if
you don't mind a little second hand smoke.

| Emerson Biggin's | Wichita, KS | |
|
This is an excellent bar/grill if you in Wichita's fine "Old
Towne" area. The atmosphere is fun, waitresses are hot, and the
food is good. If you order tap beer, it comes in a 36 oz. glass. If your
a biker, don't miss out on Wednsday's bike night, sponsered
by Big Dog Motorcycles.

| Texas Roadhouse | Wichita, KS | |
|
This restaraunt provides a perfect fun dinning experience. The food
doesn't get much better. I recomend getting a big steak and baked
potato. The wait staff is full of energy, and you can even catch the staff
dancing at the same time to some country music.

| Crazy Horse Supper Club | Wichita, KS | |
|
The Crazy Horse Supper Club was excellent, but BEWARE! Crazy Horse
Supper Club is no longer there! In its place is a sports bar called, "Crazy
Horse!" The owners are not the same, and the food isn't comparable.

| Artichoke Sandwich Bar | Wichita, KS | |
|
Small restaurant. The sandwiches are outstanding, and the service
is extra friendly. Wide variety to choose from. People complain that
it is too small for the crowd, but a crowd means that it is a good place
to go.

| Ryans Family Steak House | Wichita, KS | |
|
This review is to cover only the West location, because there is a huge
difference in quality between the West & East. I will never eat
at the West location again! The quality and service was awfull. First
I thought it was because we were there at an odd time, but when I got the
same results on Saturday Evening I was convinced. The East side however,
is always excellent. They stay on top of quality and service and I always
leave satisfied.

| Hog-Wild Pit Bar-Bq | Wichita, KS | |
|
Great BBQ, Just doesn't seem to be enough for the price.

| Kobe Steak House of Japan | Wichita, KS | |
|
Kobe has been around longer than the other Japanese restaurants that
I know of such as KYOTO, TOKYO, & SUMO. Their quality exemplifies
this as well.
|
||
| Hometown Buffet | Wichita, KS | |
|
I feel that this place is overrated. The food seems to bland to really
enjoy, and the meat selection is cheap and few. They need to improve
by having a chef at a grill, like Ryan's Steakhouse.

| Felipe's Restaurant | Wichita, KS | |
|
I am very impressed with Felipe's! They have been around for over
15 years. I remember eating in their first low budget restaurant on
Harry & Rock Rd, and now they have two extroidinarily fancy locations.

| Jimmie's Diner | Wichita, KS | |
|
This is an excellent smoke free restaurant. There can be a 20 minute
wait on the weekends, but that must mean it's good. Reminds me of
a restaurant you would see in the 1950's. You can grab a seat at the
bar and order a milkshake. Great food.

| Scotch & Sirloin | Wichita, KS | |
|
Hands down, this is the best restaurant in Wichita. They even sell their
own packaged meat which is by far top notch quality. The atmosphere
is very suttle, and the waitresses are beautiful. If it's your
birthday, they will surround you and snap a photo.;)
Price is high, but you pay for what you get.

| Bionic Burger Hamburgers | Wichita, KS | |
|
The idea is great, has a 50's theme. But I feel that the quality needs
improvement. I came across some hamburger stones in my tripple burger.
There is another location on Harry and Washington, and I had to walk
out of there because it was too grimey for me.

| Old Chicago | Wichita, KS | |
|
I always recieve good service and food when I go to Old Chicago. The newest
one in Old Town is nice as well. It seems to be crowded usually, but that
is a good sign.
|
||
| Godfather's Pizza | Wichita, KS | |
|
Godfather's isn't good for me anymore. Their pizza buffet
is always dry and far from appatizing. I advise them to visit Pizza Hut's
buffet, and take some notes. They do have an interesting atmosphere,
and I've tried several times to dine there in hopes of a better experience,
but it just keeps getting worse.

||
| Timberline Steakhouse & Grill | Wichita, KS | |
|
I had an enjoyable experience dining here. The atmosphere is very interesting
with an outdoors type appeal. If you like to appetize on peanuts, this
is the place for you because they are everywhere! The booth area for
waiting on a table is covered in peanut shells. Food was good as well.
The place is crowded on a Friday or Saturday evening, but that is a good
sign.
