When I was going to school in Ames I really enjoyed this place. My wife and I went back for a special night and I just wasn't that impressed. The atmosphere was not the nice quiet place we enjoyed before. The food was okay, but in my opinion not worth the price. But in Ames it is one of the nicest places to eat.

I love this place. It can be a little scary when you walk up the stairs as I never know what smell is going to great you. The food is WONDERFUL. Don't expect to to linger though - I have been kicked out of there more times during busy periods because they needed the table and my friends and I were just talking, not eating.
