| The Sagamore | Syosset, NY | |
|
Sagamore is a pricy steakhouse, however the food is excellent. For
a special occasion I would certainly return. The service is wonderful
as the staff is highly attentive during your dining experience. The
steak was cooked to perfection and the sauteed mushrooms were flavorful.
If you want to treat yourself or someone you love - Sagamore is worth
the visit.

| Majors Steak House | Woodbury, NY | |
|
I don't think Majors is worth it. If I am going to go to a steak restaurant
- I'd rather spend a few extra dollars over Majors and go to Sagamore
down the block. It is a half step above Boulder Creek and Outback for
double the price. I wouldn't go back.

| Inn Between | Syosset, NY | |
|
The Inn Between had good food if you are in the mood for a burger, salad
or sandwich. You can go casual and it is tasty. The prices are moderate
and it's a good value. The seating is separate from the bar so it
keeps the noise level down. The service is average, staff tends to stay
by the bar so they don't always check on you that often. I'd
recommend it.

| Celebrity Diner | Syosset, NY | |
|
The food at the Celebrity diner is average - typical diner food. I found
the prices to be comparable to other diners I have been to. The manager/owner
was horrible to my mother which is the reason I could never go back. We
had been to Celebrity on numerous occasions and never had a problem,
but as dining goes sometimes there is an off day. My mother ordered something
with roasted or grilled vegetables and it tasted bad. The waitor wouldn't
take it off and wanted to wrap it up for my mom to take home. What would
be the point? If it's bad she isn't going to eat it at home either.
They did nothing for us and when my mom, who is the absolute sweetest
person and couldn't be rude to a fly, asked to speak to a manager
- he was nasty and did nothing. In fact he called her a complainer and
told us to just pay and leave. That was probably the worst I have ever
been treated at any place ever. They used to own the Nostalgia Diner
in Syosset and that establishment subsequently closed down. Karma
is a beautiful thing! Obviously we never went back.

| Principessa Italian Restaurant | Hempstead, NY | |
|
This is one of the worst restaurants I have dined at. I'd never go
back. Some people at my job arranged a party there and the food was awful.
I swear to you I had to grab something on the way home because other than
the bread on the table, I thought every single thing brought to the table
was disgusting. Also, the servers were not that gracious at all. Stay
away!

| Rachels Waterside Grill | Freeport, NY | |
|
The seafood at Rachel's was good and fresh. Stay away from the blackened
entrees- the spice combination is heavy on paprika and it just doesn't
work. This is coming from a lady that loves spicy food. The broiled fish
is much better. It is NOT submerged in butter and has deliciously seasoned
breadcrumbs on top. The service at Rachel's was below average
during our visit. Our waitress wasn't friendly, rarely smiled,
and never seemed to ask us if everything was good or if we needed any other
beverages. We had to get her attention every time we wanted something
else. The pricing was fair for what we ate. It's not a place to go
to during the week - more like a treat place $25-30 entrees. Fair for
seafood. The restaurant is small and tables are too close together.
Should space them out more. Definately go to the bar if Susan is at the
front. She has a lot of personality and be sure to ask her if she took that
road test!

| Hemingway's American Bar & Grl | Wantagh, NY | |
|
Hemingways is just average. The food is okay, it is rather pricy. I didn't
love it. The service was lacking as well. Noone came to ask if we needed
another drink or how our meals were prepared. It's not terrible,
but far from fabulous!
