On the plus side, the service is nothing short of fantastic. On the down
side, the food is pretty "meh." Surprisingly bland Mexican
fare.

| Casa De Oro | Moscow, ID | |
|
I was pretty happy with this place, compared to other options in Moscow.
Good portions, decent service. The food isn't that original but
it's filling, so I left happy.

| Burger Heaven | Rathdrum, ID | |
|
A nice place to stop in at when driving through. Quick service, good
burgers at a reasonable price.

| Coyote Creek Deli | Bend, OR | |
|
I gotta say, I liked it here. The food is reasonably priced, the service
more than adequate. For a quick bite to eat, this place ain't bad.

| Michael's Landing | Corvallis, OR | |
|
Wonderful riverview (assuming you get a seat by the window), and pretty
spendy by Corvallis standards. Fine selection of steak dishes, which
I recommend.

| Devo's Burritos | Pullman, WA | |
|
Decent little taqueria albeit with a bad location. If you can find it,
the food here isn't bad for walk-in fare. Cheap and filling.

| Shermer's Restaurant | Pullman, WA | |
|
It's a pretty decent BBQ/rib place, and I've been very impressed
with the service (otherwise abyssmal most anywhere else in Pullman).
That alone is enough to get me coming back.

| Red Robin | Kennewick, WA | |
|
It's a chain restaurant, so you pretty much know going in what you're
going to get. Depending on the time of day, it's either bone-dead
or Chuck-E-Cheese noisy, so keep that in mind if you're just looking
for a quick burger n' fries.

||
| Shari's Restaurant | Richland, WA | |
|
Again, it's a chain restaurant, so you know pretty much what you're
going to get, and I've always like Shari's in general, with
a varied menu. We had good service here and would stop again when driving
through.

| King City Truck Stop | Pasco, WA | |
|
Truck stops can be hit or miss, but when they hit, you usually get gargantuan
prices at low low prices, and this fits the hit bill. A meal here should
last you the rest of the trip. I probably wouldn't go out of my way
to stop here but I was happy it was on the way.

| Mc Grath's Fish House | Corvallis, OR | |
|
One of my favorite seafood restaurants (even if it is a small chain).
GREAT clam chowder and fine selection of guaranteed fresh fish. One
of my favorite places to go.

| Beanery | Corvallis, OR | |
|
If you are going to school in Corvallis and need a place to a) study and
b) get a good cup of joe, the Beanery is where you go. It's practically
an institution.

| Beanery | Corvallis, OR | |
|
An institution among the locals and Oregon State students, it's
THE place to go when studying for classes or just looking for a quality
cup of joe. Forget Starbucks, go here!
|
||
| Pizza Pipeline | Corvallis, OR | |
|
It's reasonably good, cheap pizza. A step above Domino's
and their ilk (but not a big step though).
|
||
| China Blue Restaurant | Corvallis, OR | |
|
Probably the best Chinese food in the area. Reasonably priced and not
too heavy on the preservatives. The dining room is a little small, so
take out might be the way to go here.

||
| Hasty Freeze | Lebanon, OR | |
|
Stopped here once for a milkshake when driving through. Very glad I
did. Awesome milkshakes, good "drive-thru" fare as well.
And they use real ice cream; didn't know people did that anymore.

||
| Wendy's | Lebanon, KY | |
|
It's fast food, but as mega-chains go, Wendy's is perfectly
acceptable compared to Mickey D's and Burger King. Heck, a poke
in the eye is better than Burger King. The staff was curteous and quick,
food was fresh.

| Duck Brand Hotel & Cantina | Winthrop, WA | |
|
This appears to be one of the more upscale eateries in Winthrop, a faux-Western
town but not cloyingly so. The food was about right for the price (although
what the deal with the giant carrot slices was is beyond me). My fish
was excellent, but my wife's chicken was rather dry. It's
about right for the price...would I eat here again? Maybe.

||
| Three Fingered Jack's Saloon | Winthrop, WA | |
|
I was rather disappointed in the breakfast fare, which was spartan
and very overpriced. Horrible service, too...when you have to ask
three times to get the check, be happy you get any tip at all.
